The irony is he was a fan favorite for a lot of years. The un drafted over achiever who made the 2011-12 All Star team.

But after his big gaffe in Gm 1 of the 2014 Finals it's been all down hill for Danny boy.

Jan, just one minor point of contention. The Rangers are not going to sit Girardi unless he is hurt or totally shot. He played 20 + minutes last night, second only to McDonagh. He isn't coming out if he is healthy.

AV had said he wanted to keep G fresh and would rest him periodically. One game off is not really periodic. That's the only reason for my suggestion as to giving him a game off especially due to the heavy schedule.

I totally get it, and agree that he should get the occasional respite. But, with all the injuries right now, and the potential need for the Rangers to squeak out a couple of low scoring wins, they may want to get a little healthier before thinking about giving Girardi a night or two off.
