Im literally amazed that this situation , McDavid+Manning, is becoming what it is.
It's almost like a WWE build to a PPV.

Im a fan of hockey first , Flyers second and if anyone says that McDavid should be fighting Manning then that doesnt make sense because the game is less exciting with McDavid not playing. It's my same argument for fans that scream they want Crosby hurt. On the other hand McDavid saying basically "I called him out but he wont fight one of our other guys" is just as ridiculous.

I hope that Manning and designated fighter for McDavid handle it the way Simmonds and McIlrath did..Start of the game, get it out of the way and move on.

they did that last year I thought, manning fought an Oiler

Remember when people complained about Raffl getting $2.35M over the summer? Good times.
- PhillySportsGuy

Seriously. And if I had a nickel every time someone said Raffl shouldn't play on the top line, I could afford to buy Nucker and I our dream home.

Don't you get a little upset guys like Weise get 4 years and Clutterbuck 5 years, but Raffl only got 3 years? Like he's someone I would've wanted locked up for that extra year or two. Same with Gudas. "People" were saying he should get a 1-2 year deal max. Now he looks like a flat out steal. We would've 8 year maxed him, but that's just us.

Who the heck is Matt Henderson?

i have no idea and i don't care. this whole thing is (frank)ing stupid. it was an accident (kinda' like mcdavid breaking his own hand punching the glass), over a year ago, which was obvious to everyone. get over it, mcD, and just do your thing. he looked like an ass crying about it last night, saying "what type of person manning is". gmafb. no reason this should follow manning around. is he supposed to fight the oilers every time he plays against them now until he retires?

if mcdavid were a run of the mill player nobody would give a poop.

that's a good point. they probably would have been talking about their weekend plans as they gently glided toward the end boards.

The same way David Booth and Mike Richards shared ice cream cones, Matt Niskanen and Scott Laughton did Easter tea together, and Umberger and Campbell went purse shopping in San Francisco Bay? Yeah, players never remember players that injure them unless they're superstars. Run of the mill players don't have feeling, after all.

I keep reading this "off his game"

Did you actually watch the game ?

Connor was absolutely dominant. Kid had a goal and apple and was dangerous all night long.
If he not already the best player in the world, it won't be long till he's that by a country mile.

The flyers winning the game (and congrats on it) wasn't because manning got him off his game. It's because the oilers gave up 6 goals.

If that's Mcdavid off his game, then the rest of the league is totally fuked when he gets back on his game.

I also read some posts saying Connor shoulda fought manning. Is that a joke?
Connor Mcdavid is gonna drop mitts with Brandon no name plug manning ?
How in any way is this a wise move from the oilers side

He did.

Apparently, when Manning jostled McDavid a bit, Conner didn't care for it.

It's ok. McDavid's only 19. He embarrassed himself last night. He'll get over it.

You'll just have to settle for us drafting the biggest, baddest, meanest, most Flyer-est power forward left winger at #20

5th overall in the league in points .
2 points out second overall
4 points out of first overall.

All of this is true based on the fact that certain users have basically stopped showing up during this 7 game win streak.

Exactly

Points % normalizes for unequal number of games played and lets fans feel happy about their team

"Sure, we're out of a playoff spot now but we've played less games than them and our points % is higher than theirs so we're fine. Go us!!!"
