I agree, I am just stating that I am unsure if we are in the majority. I want to say we are, but sometimes it is too tough to tell - YuenglingJagr

How the hell is McDavid gonna cope when he gets injured by an actually dirty hit if this is his response to an unfortunate accident? - Feanor
He'll REALLY then give the dirty hitter the what for? |

He's 19 years old and frustrated. I think he'll be ok |

Remember that 3 year stretch where we thought Garth may have learned how to be a good GM? |

It is as if the plan was mediocrity all along. I dont think clutterbuck is a bad player and I think he is valuable, it just seems funny how certain players they will go above and beyond to sign and others theyre like an extra 500k!?! We are a BUDGET team!!! |

He's not a bad player, but the term on that deal. He's likely leaving his prime starting next season. |

So, my #fancymath says the Flyers are at the 35.37% mark of the season. As of now, who are your 7/3/1 expansion protected slots?
Giroux
Voracek
Couturier
Schenn*
Simmonds
Raffl
Cousins
Ghost
Gudas
Manning
Stolarz
*Note on Schenn - He's hard to figure out. If he's left unprotected, he'll be taken for sure. However, if they Flyers are really done with him, I'd rather they try to trade him before the ED and protect a guy like Laughton/Leier/Lyubimov. So, for right now, he keeps a spot.
Also, this assumes they somehow have a goalie signed that they're willing to expose (Emery much?). |

From what I understand, McDavid's actions the game last night were not in reaction to the hit last year, but in reaction to Manning chirping him about the hit. It reaching the point of being overblown. All it was is a building rivalry between two players. Something that happens all the time in the NHL. Its crazy all this talk of McDavid being thrown off his game. - MJL
He acted like trash talk changed the obvious fact that it was an accident. If Manning called McDavid a wussy, would he suddenly think he was a cat? |

I'm fine with Schenn moving on, but agree it would be better to get something for him than have him taken for nothing.

yes chirping happens all the time which is why McDavid whining about it is ridiculous. I had a player say I bleeped your mother last night to which i responded "how was she" with a smile. why get upset? its stupid. |

I still think Laughton but I'm biased. No way they leave schenn unprotected

According to McDavid, Manning told him on the ice that the hit was on purpose to that effect. That's what apparently started all the extra stuff. |

When was he whining about it? I saw the video of the presser. McDavid didn't mention it, until he was asked about it in the media scrum. |

He should have blew off the question. I have no doubt it was an accident but clearly it was on McDavid's mind and clearly Manning got in his head. We won the game and Manning won the war. - SuperSchennBros
Yeah. The tsn guys mentioned that now mcdavid will be getting players every game trying to rile him, after he showed he can lose focus. |
