If that situation turns into a circus, that will be on whoever turns it into a circus. There's really not much to it.
- MJL

The Canada media will feed it. Trust me including one Don Cherry if he has a mic anywhere near him.

Last night was a game where the emotion can make you want to teeter over the edge. A guy like Zac rarely had that restraint. Does he even still play for Boston?

Don't see anything for 2016-2017 on hockeyreference.com I think he might be gone

Jake and G tied for 6th in the NHL in points.

That's impressive. Even more impressive given they are not elite.

Still can't believe we got 2 even strength goals from Giroux. Finally, ones that count.

As neither of McDavid's points happened at ES, they didn't really happen.

Nope, he's been in Providence all year.

Still can't believe we got a 3rd for him.

Still love the title of this article:

i wonder if you guys really think this and just cant see an ounce of rationality outside of home team love

" did he just say somethin negative about my favourite team?!! oh god, what a baby. we're totally infallibe and nothing negative he said could possibly be true!! we're the good guys!!!"

the retards always have to look at it like good vs bad guys.
i like my home team guy, so whatever the other guy says is lies!!

But they don't bring bags of cash out onto the ice so, imho, money is actually irrelevant. Either you produce at your skill level or you don't.
- Scoob

With guaranteed contracts, there will always be players that perform above and below their annual salary. It is just the way it works. Maybe it would prevent some of these guys from signing such big contracts if they actually had to carry around the money in cash though

I think there is really good chemistry on their line now

between Raffl and Jake, especially

If MacDonald made 2.5 million a year, would he get as much criticism?
- hockeylover

No, even if his contract was 4/18 the criticism wouldn't have been nearly as strong. I think it's the six year term that really drives people crazy.

But he'd also have gotten less criticism if he had played better in 14-15, 15-16 and the start of this season.

Manning vehemently denied it.

"That's 100 percent wrong," he said. "Anyone who has seen the clip, sees him catch an edge. I would never intentionally hurt someone. For him to say that, it is what it is. When he comes out and says that's the most classless thing...and for him to come out in the second period and yell at our bench for a minute and tell me to get on the ice. Or for him to score a goal and start chirping at me, you should see where his focus is right there."

Well if we read between those lines we know how to beat Edmonton for a while

I agree. Even if he was signed to a 3-year deal making $5M per, people would at least know that the end was near. Knowing that's he's here for 3 more years taking up $5M in cap space is the hard part.

Remember when people complained about Raffl getting $2.35M over the summer? Good times.
