Eventually Matthews will be 1C, and then Kadri in the #2 hole, so after that, you've got Nylander and Marner switching back to center.

I kind of give the nod to Marner though: that kids good defensively now, just needs to work on his hockey strength.

No for sure not...it's not like JVR is Ovechkin...Hamilton for JVR and maybe a pick or a prospect. Flames hold the cards as I'm sure there are a lot of teams looking for D help. I may be wrong and maybe it will be Hamilton + for JVR but I can't see it.

Dougie seems to be holding his own in Calgary and has the best Corsi for D. ( I'm sure he's seeing less Comp than Gio etc. but still pretty good )
