I dont think they trade Stroman, his value is not at its peak right now. Had an off year.
I keep hearing Jay Bruce....he could be had for little.
But I think as we get closer to the Spring training, maybe teams look to unload big contracts. Maybe they jump on that?

But right now, I dont see this team making the playoffs. Our starters didnt really have any injuries last year and we just snuck in.

Ahh Power Forwards take more time. Guys like Brouwer and Lucic types that every team desires so much. Jake will get there some day. From what I heard that management wanted Larkin in that draft and not Virtanen but were overruled by owners.

I think Larkin would've been the better pick (obviously). The thing with Virtanen (i haven't watched every game he's ever played), but he seems to have no brain, at all. (Like Frenchy just said).

Lucic, in his prime, was more of a one off i think. Lots of teams wanted a Lucic when he was in Boston. They've tried to draft them, but i don't see many around the league. You end up with guys like Ritchie, Virtanen, Nischuskin and McCarron.

He's a below average fielder now, but if what you enjoyed about the Jays last year was all the extra strikeouts, you'll love Jay Bruce. K% between 21-27 over his whole career.

I don't like the way they've built the team (HR, no bunts, no small ball etc).

But if that's the way they'll still go, may as well pick up Bruce.

Lucic development was more of a one off. A lot of those players you listed are just starting their careers. Normally an East-west player will take less time. Guys like Marner and Matthews are again different. You don't see a lot of players under 20 making an impact in the league.
