Yeah, the solution lies in recycling Edmonton's garbage... Exercise your brain every now and then.
- Max.Betts

wow that is an incredibly rude thing to say. Krueger was awesome at the WCOH.

Why dont you increase your IQ so you can follow along with why we need a coaching change

It's a slow night. I'm bloody well cold in my town tonight. Might be setting a new record for coldest place on earth again soon.

I'd like to hear that conversation:

JB: Hi Jim, it's Jim
JR: Oh Hi JB, what's up? How's the wife and kids?
JB: They're good, they're good. So... ugh... we're, ugh, thinking about making some changes...
JR: Oh yeah, how's Brandon working out with you guys?
JB: He's good. He's been playing good and is a good guy to have around. I see Nick worked out real good for you guys in the playoffs last year.
JR: Yeah, he did, what a great run we had. So why you calling me Jim?
JB: Well, ugh... so I was, ugh, wondering if there was any chance you might ugh, like a guy like Bo or Ben or Jake?
JR: Wow, Francesco must be getting desperate to put bums in the seats? What's this gonna cost me? Phil's a real leader in the room, and I can't imagine you want MAF... is it Malkin?
JB: Malkin, maybe, but ugh, how about Sid??
JR: ...
JB: Hello? Jim, you there?
JR: ... Really, Jim?
JB: Well...
JR: (Hangs up the phone and goes back to polishing his stanley cup trophy)

Don't even bother with him anymore. We can talk leg exercises and mozza burgers.

Thanks for the reality check. I think the coaching change runs a little bit deeper for some (me) then just one game. I do like when they win though.

one single two-week tournament does not make for a top ten NHL coach.

I would look at the training staff myself. A serious amount of injuries over the past couple years.

Can we just imagine if Van would have gone 4-5-0-0 instead of 0-9-0-0? We would currently be in the playoffs. This just tells us this team isn't all that far off from being a playoff team. I know that does sound a little crazy but it's reality. Even with our top 2 dmen injured we have still managed to produce wins.

As much as we think JB and TL are out of their minds to this is a playoff team maybe we need to take a closer look. We as a fan base should climb down off that bridge and support this team whole heartedly.

Am I out of my mind??

- Kaynine

To fall is easy to rise is a climb rife with pitfalls. Stringing together a 5/6 game win steak might right the play off bubble ship. For now those 3/4 points out are like Everest with the win one lose two; win two lose one; pace of the Nucks.

exactly my thoughts.

with the amount of injuries last year (and some this year), the training staff is definitely not top 10 in the league. if benning would get off his a$$ and replace those guys, the team could be a playoff team even without a top notch coach.

get a better training staff and a new coach and the team could be a contender.

Well I mean he went about it and attempted to build depth. Considering the amount of injuries they have had. I'd say he did a decent job. It's almost impossible to replace top 6 players like hansen. and literally impossible to replace both your top pairing D men.

Oh i agree wholeheartedly, I tend to side with management that this roster (free of injury) does indeed have the capacity to challenge for a playoff spot.

My gripe has more to do with what happens once we get there?
Us loyal, lucky fans are privileged to witness, in all its H.D, over-analyzed glory, another 4 games culminating in a bottom 20 pick? All the while that little Rat pads his filthy pockets with playoff funds.

No thanks.
Tear this b!tch down.

- Whiskey-Tango

Do you get entertained during playoffs in a way unlike a regular season game? How about the last 20 something pick BB? Not bad eh? The extra one before did that land us Guddy? Well looks like there is hope in JB quality picks.

You can't be serious. As if the training staff is responsible for edler's broken hand or sutter's broken jaw or larsen's coma...

this comment section really is where the internet goes to die.

I fully expect a ban for standing up to you idiots tonight. I genuinely like Carol's blogs and sincerely look forward to the 2020 season. Until then, suck it.

1st of all Im not even here every day so thats impossible. Get your facts straight.

Like I said get your IQ up to follow along, learn advanced hockey coaching strategies so you can see the deficiencies in the current coach

.... and just because you dont see it personally DOESNT make it untrue.

I wasn't being serious and I won't flag you. You can come here and talk hockey and give an opinion but to think and act like you are better then everyone. Not going to happen. You weren't standing up to anyone tonight. You were just making an ass of yourself.
