You're right about me trying to make fun of you guys that claim to have better insight into coaching than the guy being paid the big bucks to do so. But as a guy that has 3 national coaching certificates and has spent over 25 years coaching(albeit soccer) at a high level, I'm not going to admit anything of the sort. Do I not understand why WD does certain tactics, sure, do I question specific plays, sure. Will I come on here and bemoan continually that I'm a better elevator over a guy that has had success throughout his career. Not on your life. I've never believed in arm chair coaches or GM's, period.

People are making an emotional judgement on a profession that they are watching on television, it's the same every day. If people feel they want to post the rhetoric they know better, why can I not post facetiously the other way.

I have 2 levels of coaching certificates! I don't use them or anything. I'm not exactly old enough (meaning my daughter is only 6 and I have no other children yet) nor do I live in a place that I really would waste my time using them.

I think most people minus the real idiots can see mistakes that coaches make and well everybody has their own preferences, just as NHL coaches do. NHL coaches are in their jobs for a reason that they are good at what they do, some clearly better coaches then others.

The emotion runs high in here literally from period to period or intermission hence VANTEL!

Then please specify that your making fun of 1 or 2 people specifically then. Most of us don't claim to be better at the position, but any fan can see that when your down by a goal, DD is less likely to get it for you than LE, Horvat, Sutter, Sedin, etc. Players have their rolls, and when I watch teams liek chicago, LA, Washington, etc play, I NEVER see their 4th line players out in the last 3 minutes of a game when they are looking to tie it. The fact that our coach does, whereas successful NHL coaches don't says something.

I understand your logic that you want your best players out there, and we have all seen the results, both ways. I'm more frustrated watching our dynamic duo play keep away, not use the point men, not shoot at the net and then are like, what the buzzer went. Talk about frustrating, you would think that your so called best players are your best option, but that's not always the case. And yes, I agree that it's not ideal to have your 4th line out there either. It's the continued whining that's gotten to me, sorry for not being a lemming.

I think the way you've presented the argument is vague in terms of who you think is whining and it can come across as you thinking just about everyone here are idiots, which we know isn't the case.

I know it can be frustrating to listen to when people say stupid poop, but by your logic nobody should present trade proposals or criticize any decisions made by JB because none of us are GMs.

yes and consider that there are only 30 HC in nhl. So yes he has gotten to an elite group. Problem is he is 30th on that list.
The top 10 are highly skilled coaches. Top 5 can give a team a cup. Do we want a 30th ranked coach out of 30? No. Because you'll lose against higher skilled coaches. When 1 of those that schools you badly is named Hartley you need to be replaced.

Im sure he has many great qualities as a coach but he doesnt have what is needed to be a winning nhl coach. So no I dont hate him I just want us to do a serious upgrade into top 10 or better
