Anders Nilsson is #1 in the NHL right now at 5 on 5 Sv%
Robin Lehner is 28th

Nilsson should be given more games

Liked Nilsson on the Oil, but he is a very hot/cold goaltender. Ride him while he's hot.

flyers game he stole us a point, got pelted all night

panther game, got the shutout and stopped 33 shots

40 saves vs the devils in regulation, allowing 1 goal, got us a point

and you can make a case, the way he stopped mcdavid the other night, got us a few points

he is not flashy, which makes a lot of what he does go unnoticed

I'm not saying I dislike him, because that's definitely not the case. I was one of the few that wasn't panicking that he was going to be the backup this year. I kept saying he had a good stretch for Edmonton last year. I knew he was capable.

We also have taken a few more penalties under Nilsson the past few starts.

Nilsson - 4,2,4 last 3 games
Lehner, 2,4,2 las 3 games

Also they have been rotating the Zamboni drivers and has a effect on the ice.

I could argue that the defense on the Oil wasn't exactly up to par either (not that the Sabres D looks great when you look at the roster currently).

It seems to happen a bit too often that goalies do well in Edmonton for a period of time and then the wheels fall off. Not so sure it's the goalies that have been the problem overall.

I still think it's 80 percent team in front of the goalie

look at bernier as a leaf vs now, he is much better

anderson, is putting up exactly the same numbers for the leafs bernier did

unless your an elite goalie, do we have more than 3 of them in the game now, goalies are a dime a dozen

aside from conditioning

He seemed to be doing pretty good. 1 game he looked lost . the other ones nice and calm.

Could be he was worried he was going to be ridden and he might not be into that mainstream activity.

Not sure if you saw, but I'll be in Florida for work the week right before Christmas. Though I'll be in Ft. Lauderdale and everyone I know that lives in Florida is much further north than that.

The Sabres play the Panthers that Tuesday. I'm debating on going, but I don't know if I want to go by myself. I guess it'll depend on whether or not I find something else to do.

Goalies have a lower Sv% on PK than they do 5 on 5
