Or you just pull over to the side of the road and use a sock like my brother. When he comes home with one sock, his wife knows what happened.

Running joke, his mother in law buys him tube socks for Christmas every year.

It was a great shot from risto and im glad they pulled out the win but lets not kid ourselves the oilers and refs gave us this game. (I know I know jesus christ)

No Larsson or McDavid to defend in the final minute, and mclellan gives the sabres a chance to set up by taking a timeout when he should take advantage of the fact that the sabres didnt have one because of a terrible challenge. That penalty at the end was weak, if it happened to us we'd have guys female doging page after page.

Bylsma had this team parking the bus by mid game too.

Full credit to the sabres for taking advantage of that though, which is what good teams do

McDavid was on the ice in the final minute and almost got a shot off before the buzzer sounded for the end of regulation.

And Larsson straight out grabbed Foligno that's not the refs bailing us out. That's him having to make a call because the Sabres were pressuring

no credit to the sabres even though they're 5-2-2 in their last nine with a depleted roster

even during losses, wow what a pleasure it is to watch Mcdavid every night

It's ridiculous how good he is.

The NHL rink is literally too small for his speed.

"It's too bad these two teams only meet twice a year."

Agreed. Didn't like the end result but it was an entertaining game. Kudos for pulling out the win.

The speed that kid has is unreal. Makes Maxim look like he was using a walker out there back in the day.

Michael, there is no room on this blog for writing anything positive about Kane or the Sabres. It's much more fun and easier to constantly harp about what's wrong with the Sabres vs what's right. You need to get on the program man!

Last night wasn't a Rembrandt but I'll take the two points. A win is a win is a win. Just like when we totally dominated the Leafs earlier this year but ended up with the "L". In the end, that's all that matters.

Hope Risto sleeps in today and eats lots of Wheaties. He'll need it in preparation for Ovie on Friday night.

Any negativity you read about McDavid on any board is due to 100% jealousy by every other fan base. He is at a completely different level.

seemed like a backhanded compliment...

no biggie...I get everything you're saying but fact is, normally the sabres are on the wrong end of a game like this...that's why I think they're beginning to mature

As it stands this team has a 10.5% chance of making playoffs. We're 1 point from dead last in the conference.

That level is touched by no one. Not Crosby, not OV, literally no one. The kid is UNREAL.

Dude runs out of real estate too quickly. And the sh1t he can do at those speeds. Never gets old.
I'd also be remiss if I didn't mention eichel. Big strong brilliant player. With a terrifying shot.

Congrats on the win. That one stung abit after we clawed back and kinda took over.

I think klefbom is slowly getting there, and he's already a fantastic 5v5 guy, but a pp ab/weapon like ristolainen is missing for sure

thx for reading...McDavid...it's scary how good he is, but buffalo's managed to beat the oilers twice this season...

the only place these two teams could meet more than twice is the Stanley cup finals...my butt would be puckered in a series with a cup-caliber team lead by McDavid, but man that would be cool

Here's an interesting math game.

We have played 26 games (with the roster being what it was).
We have earned 26 points.

In the last nine, we have earned 12 points in 9 games.
That's 1.33 points per game.
There were no bottom feeders in those 9 games. It's not crazy to think our record would be better against lesser teams than the very sturdy opponents we played in the last nine.

If we keep up the 1.33 ppg pace over the rest of the 56 games of the season, we could earn 74 more points, and finish the season with

100 points.
