Because if you leave them together, then your 3rd & 4th lines are:
Zucc-Lindbergh-Fast
Jooris-Pirri-Boo/Hrivik (or whoever else they call up), plus Jorris got hurt too.

And then you get killed everytime they are on the ice. AV had to mix things up to achieve some sort of balance. It didn't exactly turn out well and I wasn't happy about it either, truthfully. But to just put all the blame on him is unrealistic, in my opinion. If you put all your eggs in 1 basket in this league, you end up being the Edmonton Oilers!

So no Buch Zibanejad Nash and possibly Vesey. Ouch. Other guys are going to have to step up, Kreider/Zucc/Step. If Vesey is unable to go the lines could get VEEERRYY interesting.
