I used the pair of Streit and Provorov as an example of how slow Hakstol is to make adjustments because it did take him along time to realize the pair wasn't working.
Now who we are stuck with isn't Hakstol's issue. It's how he uses them. Playing Bellemare ahead of Schenn, Read and Raffl in a 4v4/3v3 situation isn't good. Replacing Couturier with Cousins on the PP isn't good. Sitting certain players and allowing certain undeserved players like Vandevelde and Streit to play isn't good. This is factual. Like, Raffl hasn't seen any PP time and the second unit hasn't gotten any better with what little adjustments made so far. - SuperSchennBros

Step 1: Make AMac a center
Step 2: Talk him up really well to Nashville
Step 3: AMac for Subban and a 5th
Step 4: Who cares, we got Subban for AMac. - jmatchett383

The team made the playoffs in his first year and they are well above 500 in winning % since he took over.
The thing about player moves if it was Babcock making the same moves people would be lauding a great coach making a tough choice for the benefit of the team..

I dont believe that for a second... This is Philly. The best are always treated the worst. People would want him burned at the stake.
So a good coach would sit a 29-year-old player who is, at worst, a legitimate AHL player, for a 67-year-old man who hasn't played professional hockey in 25+ years? That's your measure of a good coach???

I understand that replacing Couturier with Cousins on the PP wasn't good. He should've inserted the emergency PP sniper he had waiting in the wings instead. Perhaps the seasoned hockey coach, who has had a successful career is looking at a lot of factors, and desperately trying to find a combination that works, for sustained success. He's not a miracle worker. With the roster he has to work with, no matter what he does, there will be fans who disagree with the moves. That's the point.
You made the comment "if we take away the goals off his skates" - MJL
Yes, in an discussion about his shooting percentage, I elected to remove the goals off of his skates to see how "good puck luck" factored into his shooting percentage in comparison to his career numbers. I sincerely apologize, and if it is any consolation, I put the goals right back once I was finished.
I have yet to petition to the NHL that said goals are removed from the score sheet, record books, and hockey hall of fame

I would like to take this time to restate that Mike Knuble has a record that is listed in the Hockey Hall of Fame.

It was more about removing those goals to fit a narrative.

I'd bet Bob Clarke would still cheat his way to being 50% at the dot at age 67.
