Yes, but the death would be ruled accidental. Farmers covers that. They did September 27, 1989.

I started looking at the definitions of all the #fancy stats in hopes of making up a joke but I accidentally dozed off for 20 minutes so I guess I'll have to agree with you there.

Whole Lotta Bellemare...

I'd love to complain more about that, but Schenn and Cousins kind of looked like crap, so it's hard to rip the heavy usage of Bellemare and VandeVelde tonight.

So instead of female doging about an ugly win. I'll be happy.

Last year, I volunteered for an afternoon at a nursing home. I had the pleasure to regale 3 of them with the merits of Corsi.

After 15 minutes, 2 of them passed away. The other was found babbling in tongues. I was not invited back.

Lindros has been in the NHL for 4 decades in 3 different capacities? I didn't realize that.

Bellemare being used with Simmonds in every 4 on 4, 3 on 3 situation.

The lack of scratching Mark Streit

Using Cousins in Couturier's spot on the second PP unit.

Keeping Lyubimov out of the line up without good reason and keeping Vandevelde in nightly.

Even with the current winning streak, am I the only one finding it hard to believe Hakstol will be a long term ideal bench boss for this team? The system is fine but the player placement and overall adjustments are questionable every time he makes any changes.

That's impressive for 15 minutes. That's hardly enough time for them to ask questions about quality of competition.

I'll just address one point you've made, and start there. I'm quite sure he had a legitimate reason for keeping Lybimov out of the lineup. I disagree that every decision and adjustment he makes, is questionable. Just because someone doesn't agree with it, doesn't make it questionable.

Coaches make decisions every night that everyone will not agree with. That's the way it is in all sports. I think Hakstol has done a great job and will be a very good NHL coach.

He is clearly an NHL capable head coach. I like his demeanor and I am definitely a fan of the way the Flyers play, or at least try to play. His lineup favoritism is really the only criticism I've ever had with him. I think he's done a fine job.

If I had to say one thing I would like to see from him that would be "some" emotion, passion... Maybe he is just a total cool cat, or "Mr Roboto" as he has been referred to before.
I think VDV thing gets over killed, he is a 4th line player with 5 goals. I will take it.
The possibility of scratching MDZ over Streit I would question.
