True, but players, coaching, and PP system are factors as well. The Isles have the worst PP in the league. I wouldn't say they have the worst players in the league though. I think the Isles have some real good players. I just think the coaching staff sucks.
JVR, just so that we're clear, isn't at the top of my list for elite winger for JT. If he could be gotten for, say just a 2nd and maybe a 3rd, I don't think I'd say no. I'd rather have a Kutcherov, Tarasenko, Johnny hockey, Duchene over JVR. Then you really get into cap space.

Brian Compton and Mike Carver from SNY think Garth will be around long term if JT re-signs and we will be out of JT is gone. It makes no sense to bring in a president and Garth will be around long term regardless of what happens with JT.

Hey koolaider, NO ONE on TOR would trade JVR unless it was a package of Nelson + or Strome + bc of salary considerations but most likely wouldnt at all.

Still think Strome, Lee, Nelson is better?

I'll give u Nelson as possibly being a JVR but isles need more talent on W if case u havent noticed.....

JVR is not a Hall elite player, but he would not be out of place on the 1st line with JT. I just do not see any type of big trade happening. The team winning some games has taken some of the pressure off and Garth can go back into hiding.
