yep...I can sort of understand here where the guys is knocked out cold....but on those other hits when both guys are fine....there should be game ejections. Where did the instigator penalty go??? I rarely see it called and it should be for every fight after a big hit.

What do you think is out there for a price that the Leafs are willing to pay. Sure, you can probably get Fowler from Anaheim, if you give up Marner, but why would a team in year 2 of a rebuild even think about that kind of trade.

I wouldn't even do Nylander for Hamilton, (and definitely not for Fowler) at this point. Hamilton hasn't proven enough... and Calgary would never do it anyway.

I might entertain a Nylander for Shattenkirk trade (probably not)... but I suspect Shattenkirk goes to FA this summer anyway, so why not take your shot then. If he won't agree to an extension then you can't do the trade, and if he won't agree to an extension you aren't getting him in the summer either.

If the Leafs make any moves this year I am guessing they are minor, or they are deadline dumps. Building a team is going to take a while.

That's no true at all. The nhl has repeatedly said that you are ok to contact the head so long as it's not principle point of contact. Hall clearly body to body.

Can't agree here. I think there is no suspension. He did not target the head area. Someone in the Vancouver fan posted the rule yesterday and by the rule, this is not a suspension.

You don't have to. Only way nhl suspends for her hit is if the head is only hit.

Clearly he was hit in the head, but it's also obvious that it wasn't only point of contact.

There have been several instances in the past year like this (kadri, the hit on foligno in jan) that didn't get suspended.
