tough to say. he got us a win away. he has said that ownership got involved in multiple deals. perhaps working for a team with a different ownership group we might see what hes really like. i think FA is the reason why we havent seen the rebuild in vancouver.

You could be right

be interesting to see what moves he would make with that isles team ...they need a change

Anyone see Laine's game last night? Holy cow that kid is good!!

Ridiculous.

Wishing we would have tanked last season and grabbed him to play with Aho.

In the off season I said Ladd would be the worst signing in the NHL. Looks like I was right. I dont know what they were thinking. Had they just resigned OKposo and Nielsen they would still be in great shape. Not to mention both of those players are years younger.

NYI is a team that now seems lost after looking they had taken multiple steps foward last season. No chance Tavares signs there if the team looks the way it does today and that Ladd contract isnt going anywhere.

Huge misstep. Although they'd probably be in better shape if they got rid of their egregious coaching staff.

When I was in Vegas awhile back there was this one poker dealer that started going off about how she was a doctor during the day, and she was only working at the casino (one of the lower end casinos) because all of her friends worked there. She couldn't have been older than 19. She even referred to herself as Doogie Houser. She also described how she had climbed Everest, backpacked through the Sahara and achieved her Girl Scout "honesty" badge. She reminds me of someone, but I can't quite put my finger on it.

The internet is basically just Vegas, with less comped drinks.

Was at least 21 if working in a casino in Vegas.

I don't get why the Laffs are thinking of trading Nylander. Are they starting another rebuild?

Snow (frank)ed that up like Sakic did with O'Reilly and Stastny in Colorado.

Are there Canucks fans that actually have an issue with that hit? Hate the result with a player injured like that, horrible to see, but I really don't think Hall did anything outside of the rules.

No doubt that JB is scared to death of any big complicated moves.

Looks like the jets were smart to chose buff over ladd

I've heard that there might be more to KO not coming back to the isle ...him and Neilson were huge losses for them

and why is he using chaput as a 2nd line center over Bo? Losing his marbles
- SMBDragon

c'mon man, youre smarter than this. You know that just because people list the Chaput line second after Sedins doesnt make it the "second line"... Chaput played a total of 10 minutes, Bo played 21. Your hatred of WD is blinding you

I have watched it a few times. I really don't see anything wrong with it. I hate seeing a player lay motionless like that though. Also super scary to see the skates and sticks are his head while he lay motionless, but the hit itself is a part of the game.

Looks like it. This would be year 1/50 so we have 49 more years for Leafs fans to tell everyone else how to rebuild properly.

What is on paper or what the Canucks post is never the true order of lines, you are completely right on that. They could write the Sedin's as the 4th line and it would not change a thing.

The hit was clean but...

Is that something they want to remove from the game? Blind side and vulnerable position?

I wonder if it was a Sedin, or Stecher, if some people's reactions would be the same. I feel like the dislike/care of Larsen is contributing to the calmness around here...

lol...there is not a coach in this league that could make this group play better. We have positives (Stecher) and such but the personnel on this club has gaps from 1st line to fourth. Injury prone players which will not be asked to waive...on and on...

That really is the debate right now isn't it. I don't think a player is going to lay off or completely let up in a hit if it's within the rules though. They are coached to play hard whistle to whistle. Its a super grey area.

I don't think so. I would certainly hope that isn't the case. I was wanting Biega to play over Larsen a few posts back but to me, it doesn't really matter who gets hit like that, its scary regardless.

Nope it wouldnt, but this fascination with WD and his lines/deployment is starting to irk me. They literally have half of a mediocre NHL roster then some average AHL call ups and people want to criticize the line combinations? People were mad when Torts played the Sedin's and Kesler half the game and wore them out, so now a coach tries to balance his lines and thats not good enough either?

Hell, I even stand by JB who specified he wasnt going to ask players to waive their NTC's this year because if he dealt those guys away, they would be an embarassment of an NHL roster. Sure it sucks asset management-wise to not make a few deals, but they hardly have anything here to begin with and nothing to replace guys with
