IMO it's the type of offense we are generating that is just vanilla and non-threatening.

Besides dirty work from the ROR line, or Larsson line, we score on the PP, and that's pretty much it.

There is no transition, or making teams pay for turnovers.

They need speed from both forwards and D.

Thats true too. There's a lack of finishing on both sides. Chicagos D has combined for what 8 or 9 goals so far compared to our 1?

We're going to sucker the avs into giving us another impact forward. its all part of the plan

those 8 goals would probably come with a pile of assists as well (the assumption being the increase comes from adding a guy who generates points 5 on 5). They both need work there's no question.

Defence makes the first pass out of the zone. Or creates the chance via the rush. Or a good pass in the offensive zone etc.


Im not saying its 100% on the defense. its 50/50. we need a sniper too but the D isnt innocent in all of this.

Here is the thing, if they weren't getting shots on goal I would agree with you.

But they are 13th in the league in shots on goal 30 per game on the dot. Dead last in shooting percentage.

They are getting their looks, not burying their chances.

The only "current" jersey design I have is that Blackhawks one and that's only because they haven't changed the overall design except for that curved bottom on all the jerseys now. I have a new blue home Oilers, but I bought that when it was still their throwback, a blue Canucks 3rd/retro with the stick in the rink.
