Some city level politician had a tramp stamp of a swastika that he showed off at a public pool, and he was removed from office, and I want to say went to jail for a bit, but this was a few years ago, so my recollection is a bit hazy.

No one is banning symbols of the English and Frenchies that killed my people and took their land.

Yeah, conquest is tricky. I think in the 40 years Canada's acknowledement of crimes commited against the indiginous people has opened up bit. But yeah, a long ways to go. Pretty big win for Standing Rock down south tho ,eh?

Except the pipeline was going to be like 5 miles from the reserve and they were protesting on government land. Those guys were being more hippy than native.

Disclaimer: I'm being totally facetious. It was disgusting, and the fact that it never gets addressed is another atrocity itself. Hell they don't like to talk about the whole kidnapping citizens just because they had Japanese ancestry and putting them in camps either.

I dont make the Laws, but thats what its based on. The Swastika is illegal to display anywhere outside of an educational institution.

Except the people in Europe didnt inow what it was. It was pretty obscure in western culture, it didnt have a long sacred History there. Only the highly educated were aware of it. For most it was the first time they even saw it.

As for the cultures that do use the symbol as intended...nothing changes for them
