From friends that have visited Germany... apparently they do not like to talk about said subject to anyone (maybe it's a tourist thing). Also apparently a large number of people over there still deny that that holocaust even took place. - LittleRickyV2
Holocaust denial is not German exclusive. They dont talk about it because its shameful to a proud people. Its illegal to glorify it. But they teach it in their schools. Youre mistaking it for that other country that leaves their evil deeds out of the history books ( The US of A) |

Yeah, and its illegal to goose step and seig hail too, hardly what youre claiming. Acknowledging and glorifying are two very different things. - Larsson_fan
I actually own coin and paper money from that time period as well as a firearm that was used in the war. I am in no way glorifying the Nazis by owning it. |

How is owning paraphernalia glorifying Nazi Germany ? - LittleRickyV2
I dont make the Laws, but thats what its based on. The Swastika is illegal to display anywhere outside of an educational institution. |

They don't even teach kids in our schools about WW2 and the US of A have their own warped recollection of history. |

Of course your not. But Germany is trying to beat it into its peoples heads that that was a black mark , and they dont want Uncle Herrman showing his nefews his bayonette he used to ' gut them jews'. |

Well yeah, they still celebrate Columbus day for (frank)s sake. Thats akin to Germany celebrating Hitler day. |

If you get technical the Swastika was stolen by the Nazis from a symbol used in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. Much like Hitler stealing the toothbrush moustache from Charlie Chaplin. |

We celebrate a holiday in Canada and the US that celebrates the white man taking land from the natives. |

He grabbed his arm and pulled back. It was a legit call. You just don't normally see it at that time of the game.
This is an embarrassingly weak call:

They actually called Ovechkin for slashing. - Wetbandit1
Agreed, grab and pull needs to be called more, I mean with the standard Nuge was held to McDavid would be drawing at least a penalty a shift... |

The irony is they are persecuting a whole new demographic based upon past mistakes made by their people. |

Did you notice the hills off the side of the road to Munich? Probably not, but I kept an eye out for them because thats where they dumped and covered all the rubble from the bombings. Just a fun little fact. - Larsson_fan
Interesting, I mean it's hillier than here in Buffalo, so I noticed that, but nothing that really stood out. And I was asleep most of the train ride from Nürnburg to Munich, and then going back home to where my family lives it was dark. The way they grow their wine grapes is pretty awesome, on the side of hills, and they have this really weird contraption that picks them. |

Absolute and total bullpoop. Every school in the country has a minimum weekly or daily class specifically to discuss the holocaust. There are a (frank) load of monuments to the Jews and other victims and the concentration camps have been left as reminders. Where are you getting your information? - Larsson_fan

Except the Nazi swastika is backwards from the real thing. Here in Buffalo there's a building that was built in the early 1900's and there are swastikas all over the place, the real, non-Nazi ones. Like on the floor right when you get off the elevator. I did a triple take the first time I saw it. |

Doesnt matter, youre missing the spirit of Germanys decisions regarding Nazi Parapheneila. They are simply bound and determined to ensure they will never be responsable for such atrocities ever again. They dont want any Kylo Ren (frank)heads thinking they can be the next Darth Vader if that makes any sense. |
