I rather look at keep Ranta and losing Tanner Glass .. since we are talking about Glasses here - MiloslavHorava
the Rangers forwards better start forechecking better if we don't wanna see Tanner Glass again |

Hellberg is pretty good too and will be a RFA over the summer. I think they'd probably just go with him as the backup if they had to. - jimbro83
Rangers will go the route of a goalie and 7 skaters? that the option? or is it goalie, 3 D, 5 F? I forget. I do recall if you don't go position specific and choose "skaters", you lose one protect slot.

He is huge!! 6'5" I was watching him play this wekeend. He could be special once Benoit Allaire gets in his head

you lose two slots if you choose the skaters option
Protected Lists
* Clubs will have two options for players they wish to protect in the Expansion Draft:
a) Seven forwards, three defensemen and one goaltender
b) Eight skaters (forwards/defensemen) and one goaltender |

Rangers will have to take option B. They are currently forced to protect Staal and Girardi, correct? Add McD and you need to protect Skjei. That leaves five slots, though currently forcefully needs to go to Nash.
Four left...Krieder, Miller, Zucc...Stepan? |

I mean it was easy. Took the first 7 forwards, 3 d and Hank on the list
The only tough choice would be Grabner but he is no where near more important then any of the other forwards we need to protect |

the only thing that is actually difficult is if the Rangers acquire a player during this season that has a contract that carries into next year, other than that they are fine |

Do the rules allow the Rangers to protect Glass seven times in a row? |

If they do acquire a player that they need to protect, then they expose Zbad and then agree to let the Rangerssign him to allow Vegas to get a few draft picks. I am speaking hypothetically of course thinking the expansion draft is before the entry draft. |

They did, but he was late for the bus ride home and decided to just hang around instead |

I actually like Jesper Fast more than most, but I don't think he has any trade value, nor do I believe Vegas would have any desire to take him in the expansion draft
