As an Eagles fan, when I heard that the Brown's brass said they weren't sold on Wentz, I said "that's the guy I want!"
- Tonybere

Hell... I would honestly not be surprised if Romo was traded to Cleveland... got hurt again, then Kap (free agent sitting on his couch since no one wants that media headache) is signed during the season.

Both can ruin their careers for the Browns

with Zibinajed, Buchnevich and now Grabner out, in a December 6th game, all I care about is finding a way to get the 2 points.

I don't care what it looks like

I think the games in March leading into the playoffs are a much more important time to see which way the possession stats are leaning.

well I am DEFINITELY not going to obsess over the fancy stats in December when they are icing a lineup that I expect to be very different from game 1 of the playoffs

I do not like the 3-on-3 OT, and I have learned to hate the shootout.

With that said, the point system really should be:

Win in regulation or OT: 2 points
Win in the shootout: 1 point
Loss in regulation, OT, or shootout: no points

These loser points are just plain dumb. Want to eliminate the amount of shootouts? Reward only one point to the winner of that skill competition. Bring back 4-on-4 OT or go back to allowing ties.

Haha... you want to eliminate loser points now? The millennials would have so many sit ins with coloring books and therapy dogs if you took away the semi-participation trophy points from the NHL. But I enjoy 3v3 more than 4 on 4.

100% agree and thats what it should have been from the beginning when they introduced the shootout. Unfortunately it is too late to go back, which is why it would now have to be 3-2-1.

i disagree, because the 3v3 or shootouts are gimmicky. I love the 3v3 and am thoroughly entertained by it, but it does not prove which team is better. Two evenly matched teams shouldn't tie a game and then have a spectacle decide who gets 2 points

We can only hope! Love watching the Jet fans confused about why their team sucks every year
- MiloslavHorava

Watch it punk, WE can make fun of them as Jets fans, everyone else can suck it.

That's better than what they have right now. Romo, in particular, would make that team instantly better.
- Pete V

That would be Brett Favre 2.0, except Favre actually was a great QB once.

the Islanders are going to give us all we can handle tonight. Very wary about this game.
- jimbro83

They almost ALWAYS play they're best when we play them. Remember the game in Dec 93 when we had the 14 game unbeaten streak (I was at the Coliseum for that one) & the Isles were awful to start that season, they won 6-3 I think & turned they're season around...although it turned out ok for us too.

Kreider was a little dinged up not that long ago, right? Better have him put on a few extra pads for tonight.

I think it depends what you want. I think Romo can give you a couple of good years, while you are grooming someone else (assuming you draft someone to groom). I don't think he will win you any Super Bowls, but he can make that team competent and competitive. He's not an elite QB, but he's a good QB (assuming he can ever stay healthy).

It probably wouldn't cost that much to bring him in, but I have zero faith he would ever stay healthy & each year now he's another yr older & more injury prone.

fancy stats has taken away trash talking

8 years ago Chickendirt would have been in here with "you guys suck" "Queen Lundqvist is overrated" "the Rag$ bought the '94 Cup"

I miss those days
