Kid is dang lucky. Awesome that Johnny Hockey's dad was the coach who taught him the way to slide into the boards to minimize the damage. - dragonoffrost

So I'm back from Nashville. What an awesome city...
Saw a bunch of the Flyers walking over to the Bridgestone prior to the game on Sunday. Saw Hak and the coaches and had a very brief chat with them. That was pretty cool as well.
The game was amazing. TONS of Flyers fans there. All kinds of back and forth chanting. Flyers win was a great parting gift and left everyone bubbling.
I HIGHLY recommend making the trip, and plan on doing so again next season. - jak521
I love Nashville. been there twice including this past 4th of July. I really want to go to a game there

Well worth it. The environment was like nothing I have ever been a part of before. Fun back and forth between the masses. Really cool to see. Even after the game in the bars and what not. Lots of people asking us about the game and the city. Playfully telling us theyll get us next time or they let us win so we will come back to their city. It was really awesome all around.

Akeson and Poltulny were lesser talents. Potulny was a 3rd round pick, and Akeson was undrafted I believe. The door is not closed on Laughton. - MJL
He's had a rough go of it since Carlson smashed him into the back boards last Spring. He was a legitimate 1st rounder who captained Canada's World Juniors team. Best thing for him IMO is get some games and top minutes for the Phantoms. He could blossom come the new year and be a fantastic call up by then.
Anybody see this hit yet. Kid suffered a broken neck and back. 12 games suspension. He shouldnt even be allowed to play again. God awful dirty hit.

There's no justification for that hit. That's not what you'd call a "hockey play" and he easily could have killed or permanently paralyzed the guy. Should be a lifetime ban.
So I looked at the Flyers 50 years book today at a Barnes and Noble, and the end of the 03-04 section was very painful to read. I was not aware that Ragnarsson and Desjardins were almost ready to return for game 7 against Tampa, but couldn't quite get medical clearance.

My son is going through 4 month sleep regression...not sure I will be enjoying the game much tonight - YuenglingJagr
He wants to watch Jonathan Marchessault tonight. Let him. Enjoy it together as a bonding experience.
But if you do want him to sleep, a good trick is to go to http://stats.hockeyanalysis.com/ and read him some Corsi With/Without charts. He'll be sound asleep by the time you get to the Zone Start % With/Without.
