One negative, there were some really crass fans (as expected in any arena). Cursed out an older female flyers fan one section over. Very loud and drunk. Screaming stuff about Carson Wentz and other Eagles...

Worse than that, after the Flyers first goal we all hopped up and cheered. When we sat down someone spit on my brother-in-law.

But, only Philly.

I will say we are probably one of the best fan bases for traveling to opposing arenas.

But our arena also gets invaded.

Reasonably close proximity to every one of our division rivals will do that (except for Columbus).

You can see our two of our closest rivals using NJ Transit.

There are terrible fans in every city. Amazing how that gets pinned on Philly.

I think its reasonable to assume it was another Philly fan.

I fourth the Nashville thing. Its a fun city. Live music everywhere even if it is country.

I think you can say that about most fans of Original 6 teams, if I think about it.

I kind of enjoy a regular season game against Toronto or Montreal because of those fans. Some come a long way and are fun to talk to.

Unlike Ranger fans.

I say that every time there is some incident in an NFL stadium other than Philadelphia.

HOW DID ALL THOSE EAGLES FANS GET TO OAKLAND?

The Hawks fans Saturday were fun.

Bruins fans were knowledgeable.

Seemed the Red Wings fans wanted nothing to do with us

Leier has earned it. Would love to see what he can do with this opportunity.
- johndewar

I agree. However, if Laughton was not slated to be the #1 injury replacement, why was he even with the big club? Seems like a waste of valuable playing time to me.

I think Laughts was around due to his ability to play any spot whereas Leier is a wing only. When Read went down you could call up Leier, but if someone got the flu on the way to Nashville you'd plug Laughts in.

A win tonight and it will the first time since December of 2011 the Flyers have had a 6 game winning streak.

Big game tonight. Need these two points.

S Saw Hak and the coaches and had a very brief chat with them.

If you didn't ask him about CV you wasted everyone's time with your conversation and that post.

He mentioned CV and Hak didn't understand him. Once he said VDV, Hak said he likes how hard he works.

Excited to see how Leier does, nice opportunity for him.
I hope Gudas is back, the big guy has become one of my favorite Flyers and they were physically pushed around a bit in Nashville.
Really need to see more from Weise. Not impressed so far.
If Leier does well, I think Weise's spot could be in jeopardy when Read returns.
CVV isn't going anywhere it seems.

When I asked about CV he told me watch what happens today.

M-Fer scored.

Laughton is where he belongs...He will now go the same way as Akeson-Poltulny etc.

Would love to have this kid come up and add another level of intensity like other kids have brought to the table.

Adding some offense would be a great bonus!

So...Scott Laughton has reached his hockey ceiling at age 22...shame.

Just another career AHLer like Mike Knuble, who didn't even crack an NHL lineup until he was 24.
