Pretty sure staple said Panthers would more than likely let Tallon leave if offered a job
Here it is - Upstate_isles
Would definitely be in on Tallon. |

Watching coyotes V BJ's, mostly because Perlini (roadrunners)is making his NHL debut. Man we thought the Isles found new and inventive ways to lose games, Jesus. The coyotes can't connect on a 3' pass. OEL blew a tire twice on the same pass attempt and gave it away. 5 seconds later he found the puck. It was in the back of the net. Horrible play by the coyotes. |

If he's president, he can fire snow and make himself the GM. Or bring in the GM of his choice. I think of Laffer or Richards is President, they'd keep snow. No experience. |

Isles would have to offer him more money than he's getting from Panthers to sit upstairs playing solitaire. |

would not expect potvin. we reached out to patty for comment - Dan Petriw
this is all very encouraging. Garth has really been autonomous for the past 5-6 years. I don't believe Wang ever talked him out of any deals...unless it was solely for $$$ purposes.
A president would be the one who decides the GM. It's good to see the owners are going to assume the owner role and let more qualified, dedicated people do the day-to-day.
That means Garth's time is finite. As too is Cappys.
I only hope there is a NO-Move list of players that the owners have demanded Garth not trade, unless the return is obviously ridiculous & they agree to it. Something in the range of "All 1st Rd Draft Picks for the past 5 years & select 2nd Rders."
For the first time, in a long time, I am hopeful.

I have good links in the panthers organization.. actually much better than the isles lol.... and this is true what Art said in regards to Dale - Dan Petriw
I would love Talen, again my first choice. I think he's an excellent builder of talent.
But why would Fl let him go? Look at what he has done there.
On top of being there since the beginning with the new owner, he just signed a new 3 year deal and was promoted to Pres. Of hockey ops.
Again I'm a huge fan and would love him here but why would they let him go and why would he leave before the job in Fl. is done? Why leave sunny Florida for Brooklyn?

Because he doesn't fit in with the new GM. He traded away a couple of Tallon's players. Definitely would want him here (well, there).

And fired the coach he hired. Unceremoniously to say the least. |

he will leave because he has lost control in florida and has been pushed out as the owner has fallen in love with advanced stats |

If the Isles don't agree to pay him more money, he'll stay in Florida, insulted or not. |

Nah Rowe was hired by Tallon as coach of the AHL club in Maine, and then made him His assistant GM if you believe what's said out there.
I don't think he made those trades without Talon's blessings, or at least his input imho.
And agree would love him here.
I know Vegas had permission to talk to him but they never did. They know something we don't know? That he not leaving Florida or he's waiting on the Islanders job? We can only hope IHM.
