Beatle does have a certain knack. And all of it is directed at the leafs.

Edit: example above

All right LUms.....

I think I have made my point. I will no longer follow every post of yours with a reminder that you are an unrepentant, unmitigated _______ (Fill in your own word for hours of fun!)

Just do not quote me out of context, requote PM's that were made to support you and try to make it sound different and we will get along great. (See--- hard to defend being called a "liar and hypocrite" when its so easy to show otherwise.)

As I said, you are always welcome here. I think everyone sees you are disingenuous and they do not need me to show them the truth.

That being said.... ummm... what else... do-be-de...... no, I think that about sums it up.

But I will leave you with a joke: "Why was Jesus Christ not born in Toronto? Cause God could not find three wise men and a virgin."

See --- we are laughing already....

Headliner.

Do you like the Jays?

- bloatedmosquito

I remember going to see the Jays back in the Kingdome --- must have been like 14 or so... and we were on the first base side and Ernie Whitt - the catcher was warming up right in front of us. I was so star struck that I made my way down to the first row --- not knowing what to say and he turns to me and mouths "F*ck Off" and walks away.

But yes, followed them for years. Seen them about 20 times.

Funny, that album is a heck of a lot angrier than people give it credit for. The second song:

1. Cripped Inside ("The One Thing you can;t hide, is when you are crippled inside")

And of course, "How Do you Sleep" written for Paul and even a picture was inserted in the first generations of the LP with a picture of John holding a pig by the ears to mock Paul's recent album cover RAM. That picture is worth about 500 bucks now.

(frank) I hate that ring of honour. So stupid and meaningless.

I tend to agree.

You're around enough to know that we are always in a hurry around here.

Personally, I think that Horvat is too old. We should consider giving the C to Boeser next season.

I'm sorry, but that's so sad it's funny.

The cell phone generation must really piss off ass-hole sport personalities. Can't get away with that poop anymore.

Don't know the album too well tbh. I like the Beatles and what I've heard of their solo work, but definitely more a fan of folks like Zeppelin, Clapton, Queen.

You got to be a special kind of jerk to do something like that.

I've never asked anyone in my life for an autograph. Not because I didn't want to meet the person, I would just feel really uncomfortable doing it. Especially as a kid.

Got a book personally signed by jean beliveau as a christmas gift for my dad but it was a promotional thingy at a book store so I didn't get to meet him.

I've done that only once, was at Old Trafford for a game back in the early 90s (I was about 10) and we got there early just as some of the younger players arrived - was so shocked to see them that I just kinda blurted out for an autograph, and they looked pretty shocked to be recognised... those guys (Gary Neville, Paul Scholes) went on to be life-long Man United and England players, so I was pretty happy later in life that I had asked

Since people aren’t posting right now I’m going to tell a story. A story that popped into my head while smoking a fabulous J.

My story centres around 5 boys from Toronto who nearly got their heads kicked in while performing in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Now, these 5 boys were not well known but they wanted to expand their audience beyond the street busker crowd of Toronto.

Their agent, who must have been on crack at the time, booked them into the lower deck pub. The lower deck is a well-known establishment featuring the best in Celtic music, east coast folk, the occasional musical comedian, and tremendously drunk locals.

These poor boys could not have imagined the reaction they would receive. By their third song they were forced off the stage by the angry patrons who were upset at their pop jingles and disgusted at their fat, nerdy appearance.

In response to this poor treatment by the locals, the 5 boys included the song ‘Hello City’ when they released their first studio album.

An old buddy of mine is a street scalper in Toronto. He posts selfies on FB all day long with NHL players and other celebrities coming and going from the AC Centre...

The other day it was priceless... I was in the middle of poopting all over Martin on a thread on my wall and he posts a fresh selfie of him and Martin in the middle of it... timing was funny. He said he showed Martin my posts but later said he was joking...

My entire family is from Liverpool (and from Wales originally ) so it was to my cousins dismay when he was given an office that looked straight onto the pitch at Old Trafford.

He would say he lost a day of his life every time he looked out the window.

It's sad that Mercury died of AIDS, had he and the band continued on, I'd think they'd have eventually reached the heights of the Stones or U2 for popularity/longevity/number of good albums and songs.

U2 has been making a living off the goodwill from the War album & Under a Blood Red Sky (which is the one album of theirs I bought) and the Sunday Bloody Sunday song... i guess irish nationalism really paid off for them.

Poor bastard!!!

My hatred for Liverpool has somewhat softened in recent years... for one, they have the coach that I spent years saying I wanted for MUFC, and for another... well, Mrs Lums is a Liverpool fan - any joy I get from seeing them lose usually comes back to bite me in other ways

Absolutely! I'm a child of the early 80s, so Queen was always playing when I was a kid - Freddie is absolutely one of the greatest ever IMO.
