He's doing everything that Boucher is asking of him. A couple games ago I saw he was swamped with defensive zone starts and there were barely any shot attempts towards the sens net whole he was on the ice.

I like 4 goal flower better but yeah I have little. He NEEDS to stop playing pucks b hind the net, he is a train wreck waiting to happen when he does this. The Wings almost scored 3 times at the end of last game because he was out for a stroll smelling the flowers.

I agree with most of what RW says but his notion that any player can kill a penalty effectively is wrong IMO. Sure any player can play on the PK. Any player can play on the PP or take faceoffs too... Doesn't mean they'll be effective at it.

It's funny how the Pens celebrated the early 90's teams last week, 'cause this team plays exactly like them. Getting behind with sloppy play doesn't phase them. They just turn it up a notch. Remarkably similar.

Yep. Those are the people that are completely misinformed. Dude is easily the best defenseman in the league in my opinion and it's not even close.

NO, still going 7-4 Pens, Murray is in now so no more goals for Ottawa. He always locks it down in the third. Looking for one more from Sids line and an empty netter for Shultz. Shultz is playing his way into a decent next contract and he's still young enough that it should be us that gives it to him. 3.2* 5.

People that bash him on his defensively play are normally the ones that just assume all he does is score and pile up points. The guy is a real competitor and his poise on defence is how he gets all the blocks, it's mostly with his stick

Yeah there's quite a few people who believe that he isn't good in his own end and I really think that that's a matter of ignorance in people not actually watching him play and mainly judging him by his size and just seeing his (crazy) offense stats.
