I'd trade Nilsson for him, but not Ullmark. Mostly because unless they know Petersen is planning on leaving ND after this season, you leave your goaltending on the farm pretty depleted for at least a year (possibly more). Plus, I don't want to give up a young guy like Ullmark for a guy that's definitely on the downside of his career.
- HonkFortheGoose

I just don't see middle pairing guys on the downside of their career helping this team. If we're going to do something it's time to pay up for Risto's partner or make an investment in a prospect with high potential. Nilsson and Kane for Honka?

At $750,000 I would think someone would take him on, but I know he is smaller in size, so won't be us.

Edit: unless he grew quite a bit since we traded him, lol

It's Lehner's fault. He's oft-injured.

I don't see the Bills picking up the remainder of Tyrod's contract and paying him 19 million next year if I'm not mistaken.

Walk away, sign a guy who can throw like Tony Romo and try to develop Cordele Jones and draft one in the first next year.

Romo doesn't last one quarter behind this line

19 million for Taylor, Hell NO!!! He's a good athlete, not a good QB. If he could lead his team to comeback wins like Carr did to us yesterday, or like good QBs do for their teams consistently, than maybe pay him. But for what we get each week, no freaking way!

Yeah, probably they need someone to hold the fort until the young guy is ready; someone who can make all the passes. Not sure who that is, but it isn't Tyrod.

Which I think is where he should be at this point.

I'm not ready to say he's there yet, I am also not ready to say he doesn't belong there either just yet.

I think he is a good 3 right now.

I would still like a little more out of my top pairing.

Could spread it out like the kings do. Doughty on one pair Muzzin on the other. Either way they need to add a good d-man (someone at least as good as or better than mccabe).

There's no one better available. There simply aren't 32 starting-quarterback caliber players, which is honestly baffling. You would expect that, yes, there would be a difference is quality between 1 and 32, but once you get to about 20, these are simply not starting quarterbacks. I don't know what the NFL can do to fix that, but they've created a throwing-oriented league and it doesn't have the depth in the sport to support that. It sucks. You get lucky and you get set for 20 years. If not, you're stuck

That ship has sailed. Uncle Murray wants no less than a 1st round pick for him.

I definitely see what you're saying. But at this stage in the game where we need at least another guy that can be a 3/4, I think I'd rather they just leave the two of them together and let them work out the kinks.

Just have to hope we see the McCabe from the Rangers game more often than the McCabe from the Ottawa game.
