I think there is a misunderstanding

Erik Karlsson, wears #65 for the Ottawa Senators. Considered bad defensively because of his offensive prowess despite him vastly improving it since 3 years ago...you were thinking of a different player?

Out of what? It's 10 minutes into the second.

Why do you just constantly hate everything?

About what? The media-driven misconception that Erik Karlsson is bad defensively simply because he's good offensively?

If Shayne Gostisbehere can ever come close to what Erik Karlsson can do on both sides of the puck, he will be a top pair defenseman. EK (like Ghost) doesn't generally play on the PK because it's a horrible misuse of his minutes. However, EK can be deployed against any match-up 5v5 unlike Ghost (at this point).

awesome that VDV and cousins were the only two players back on that goal. D nowhere to be found

and how many wide open shots from the slot have the flyers missed the net entirely?

In case it wasn't clear I am not comparing Ghost to EK.

Also a positive: the Flyers are currently winning. I know that's a negative for you, but the rest of us are happy about that.

Last year, Karlsson's defensive numbers were not pretty. Have to consider the amount of icetime he gets, and that he played on a poor defensive team, but he had a lot to do with that.
