Since it can be agreed amongst most of us that we need a true 1C blue chip prospect, who are some prospects that currently fit your liking? Not necessarily players entering draft, but who currently are on NHL team and in their farm systems. Two players who are high end prospects that come to mind for me are Strome and Barzal. I also mention them because Isles are struggling and may do something as a panic move with their current situation, and Yotes have the prospect depth to move one of their young forwards and could make a good match with our defensive prospects. I know I also read some mention Draisaitl yesterday. Thoughts? |

You're not getting Draisaitl, and the Flyers have little that Chayka would want. I'd run at Barzal, but I'm not sure what that would take. |

I think Rubtsov's game is still pretty underrated offensively. Not that he's a bona fide number 1 center, but I think he could be. I know Russ Cohen of Sportsology & NHL Radio's Prospects show think he has 1C potential. - Jsaquella
Just hard to be able to even get some idea about his abilities until he's in the QMJHL or the AHL |

Mentioned a little yesterday, but I want to see Konecny as a 2nd line center. To try at out at least. Maybe Schenn and Simmonds on his wings. |

I dont think most people, myself included, ever saw Ghost as a #1 all situations guy. I've said it before that Ghost, (if all the prospects work out, Morin, Sandheim, Provorov, Hagg etc), is a third pair guy who is the #1 option on PP1. There is nothing wrong with that and in fact it is a magnificent scenario for this team going forward. - MBFlyerfan
I dont think anyone ever viewed Ghost as a number 1 dman but multiple people have stated they see Provorov in that role eventually. - opeth_pa
Ghost was never projected as a #1 all situations defenseman. He was an offensive specialist who was never going to be dominant defensively. - jmatchett383
You guys are kidding, right? All last summer and the backend of last season, all I heard was how Del Zotto and Gudas are top pair players and Ghost is going to be a legitimate number one. It was the most frustrating summer ever of talking hockey. |

I kinda want to give Schenn a shot at 2c again. He wasn't fantastic last game but solid and his game compliments Konecny's. |

He's a legit #1 PP option whose defensive deficiencies seemed overblown. But to my recollection, no one ever expected him to be a #1 all-situations player. Unless I'm mistaken, he's never been a regular part of the PK and gets most offensive zone starts. Those are 2 things that Provorov does, in addition to being part of the #2 PP.
As for Gudas and MDZ, they are the top pair by default, simply because the Flyers do not presently have a true top pair defenseman. The hope is that Provorov develops into one, and can be paired with a guy like Sanheim or Myers a few years from now. |

Lets play a game today.
How many passes will Eagles receivers drop today that will kill the momentum on a scoring drive. I'll let you guys give 2 guesses. One with Agholor in and one without |

Phillysportsfan and Mononoke and you couldn't tell them anything different. It was a regular debate. |
