Interesting, during his post-game comments JVR threw in as an aside 'I've really enjoyed Toronto, I'd like to play there for a lot longer'... |

Rielly really needs to get his shots on target, especially if he's wristing it.
Impressed with Gardiner's shot accuracy though. Pretty good velocity too. - gravyface
Gardiner should not be on the PP though. His 1mph backhand saucer passes to Marner allow everyone to get back into position.
He also spends most of his PP time with his stick above his shoulder pretending he's going to shoot while the puck stays at his feet. |

I missed most of the game. Heard they played great but lost.
What a poope feeling. And now we have like 1 game in the next month coming up. Ffs.
Not a happy system today. Oh well. The family will cheer me up. Happy Sunday dong hoarders. |

Morning boys!
I've been in a drunken stuper for s couple days so I haven't really been around.
Was hoping to celebrate my 40th bday with a win last night, but it wasn't meant to be. I'll take the point and a Matthews goal though. |

disagree.
one of gardiner's best attributes is getting a low hard shot on net from the point... which is invaluable to a good functioning PP
one of the leafs issues on the PP is staying too much on the outside... gardiner needs to focus more on shooting and not making pretty passes |

Yeah if they are going to have any defenceman on the PP right now, it should probably be Gardiner. |

How do you guys feel about Ottawa being a far superior team to the Leafs?

guys need to go to the net to bang in rebounds from the low point shot from gardiner... problem i am seeing is that the leaf forwards stay to the outside too much trying to make the perfect play |

In all honesty, that's such a weird team to me.
I look at that roster and don't understand how they keep winning games. |

I'm just having a bit of fun with the guys who always say at the beginning of the year how bad they think the Sens are and they continually surprise with their lineup. I think they've played really well and they're not an old team by any means, a lot of youth on that team...not as young as the Leafs obviously.
I like where the Leafs sit with their youth though, some fun, talented kids to watch on that team. |

He's pure garbage. But so are Polak and Marincin. That's half the defence |

yeah.. as a leafs fan its been very nice to see some real talent for once... up and coming for certain... team defence needs work but is slowly improving... 3 or 4 years from now if the leafs dont get antsy and stick to their plan they should be a damn good team ...
the sens are playing good hockey and getting quality netminding... and you are right... not old by any stretch but their young guys are just coming into their own and they have a good mix of quality vets to help groom the kids.
truthfully, it will be an interesting year for the sens.. its possible they might become the surprise team of the year |

Crap. I gotta say, get rid of the shoot out. Go 3-3 for 10 minutes. If no winner, which I highly doubt, then tie.
I even enjoy the shoot out, it's not the worst thing ever in my opinion. But (frank) that 3 on 3 poop is heart failure enducing |

I hate the shootout. And I think part of that is because it feels like the leafs haven't won one in 10 years. And the other part is that it's a dumb way to end a game. But yeah, stick with 3-3. That poop is exciting.
Edit: Looked it up and they actually haven't been that bad in shootouts. |

I was just gonna say they are terrible at them, but you're right. Seems they always lose them. Wonder why? |

Canucks looking good with Miller in nets. You guys should re-sign him to a long contract. Build around Miller and Loui E. |
