I guess but he played his junior hockey as a center and the Flyers have never really given him a shot longer than 10-15 games to stick at center. I think he plays better when he's in the middle that's just me. Draisaitl is gonna be a great player and I'd love to have him on this team but I doubt Edmonton trades him, if they do they're idiots and not even sure how much it would take. Probably Schenn, Simmonds, plus and not sure if I'd be willing to do that

I have to disagree I look at Schenn as winger and a guy who needs someone to drive play on his line to be really effective.

Yeah I'm kind of at this frame of mind as well.

When he is "driving" its more just physical play over anything else. Konecny is the king of that 2nd line. I would be curious to see what the kid could do in the middle.

From what I've seen from Schenn his whole career it seems to me that he is more creative and at his best at center, probably has to due with being comfortable there since that's where he played basically his whole life. I think he can contribute more from that position, certainly hasn't been doing anything effective on the wing this year. I mean as soon as he was taken off that Giroux line they started getting it going so maybe he isn't as good as a winger as everyone wants to believe.

Wouldn't mind seeing him there but Hak will never do that , won't even put the kid out there in 3 on 3 because he doesn't trust him

Personally, I think it's the opposite. Schenn has been much better as a winger in his career, and had his best season playing primarily on the wing.

Schenn has been handed every role on the team he's been put in because there has been nobody better. Not sure thats a compliment.

I think Schenn has found his niche as a LW, but honestly he just needs to play with some fire under his ass to be effective. He's a warm body half the time.

Well agree to disagree then but like I said previously Schenn has never been given more than 15 games at center on this team since he's been on it so how can we really judge what he can do there.

He's been good on the faceoffs today too, I really want to see the Flyers give him an extended look at 2c, they never have and he might be a solution to the 2c problem.

He's been good since he was moved there. The team is arguably having its best stretch of the season with him there too so it may not just be a coincidence.

People want him to score not just be solid that's why he gets all the hate he's been getting, hasn't been scoring consistently enough so far. But he's definitely been way better as of late, especially since he's been at center.

In my memory he has never played 20 games or more consistently at center. Whether it be because of defensive shortcomings or something else he's still never really gotten a good amount of games to show what he is at that position. I'd like to see him finally get a chance.
