Jesus yeah. Forgot about Morgan's family.
There was also call to slit Marner's wrists. Unsure of the plan to achieve this but I assume we'll find out tonight. |

My guess is a slew foot to get him to the ice, followed by a skate blade to the wrist. And then Burrows will come over with a spear just for good measure. |

Then the refs give Burrows 2 minutes for slashing, and Marner 2 minutes for embellishment. |

Yeah, that'll be the best way.
I wouldn't be shocked if the Leafs didn't actually turn up and have to forfeit |

It makes a lot of sense. They are deep on the wing prospect wise. He'll be a free agent due for a substantial raise just as Marner, Nylander and Matthews need new deals. And he would theoretically bring back a good defenceman in a trade, which this team desperately needs. - PlatosRepucklic
JVR + Corrado (4.850 cap hit combined) to Anaheim for Vatanen (4.875).

Trade JVR this year. That contract is a steal. Having that extra years adds value to him. |

Watching game in person , i watch All televised games but job and lack of money prevent me from seeing all games live - Ralphb1967
Your original comment seemed a little alarmist to me.
Trading all the vets off this team is not the answer. I think JVR may end up moving by season's end but not much else. |

I'm going to go against the grain and say don't move JVR. Keep him, resign him for 6 x 6 and move Nylander for Brodin for Trouba. |

I doubt JVR will sign for less than 6.5-7 Million. I also think trading Nylander now would be a mistake. He fits in better with the age of the core group going forward. And at 20 years old, his production has been very good.
Trading JVR, to me anyways, is the best route to go if they wanna trade a forward to address the defence. |

It's kinda funny.. Nylander has been fantastic as a rookie but people act like his play has been just OK because leafs have Matthews Marner.. at this point for me it's a toss up between him and Marner and who's been better so far. Matthews has been the best.

Trading your leading scorer rarely works out. See Kessel, Phil and the NHL players on the roster we got in return.
Patience is the key. Would prefer to see how Dermott/Neilson develop before trading away a prime asset and then pay JVR what the market dictates. |

Yeah- 6x 6 seems great, and unrealistic.
He could command as much as 7×8 years. No thanks to anything close to that.
