I never said Willie can do no wrong, I said the players are to blame for the effort on the ice, I said you know squat about coaching and preparing for a game.

Let's see how many here agree with your assertion that we have a solid base of talented players and it's all because of WD that this team sucks.

Really isn't a lot of ppl in here who think this team is capable of much more then a .500 hockey club.
Looking at the canucks since WD took over, I haven't seen one player, play better then expected.

Edit: sorry Shawn Matthias and Derek Dorsett have put up larger totals points then previous seasons under Willie.

With all due respect that is not my assertion. Never was and is a misrepresentation. You said I didn't think that WD prepares them or has a game plan. Of course he does. I only pointed out that something is wrong in the telling of the team play. But I get nailed by the first anti WD poster cause I said something balanced about WD. How can I be poor with such rich labeling. Having a balanced and fair comment is thrown into rhetoric. It's okay there is always watching Leafs v Canucks.

Yeah, I almost agree, this team is better than the 65pt ceiling that was predicted, but not much in my opinion.

I think Horvat is playing better than I expected, that's it.

.500 hockey club gets close to 80 points. Injuries are certainly not helping. From watching the canucks games this season, I'd say Willie gets out coached a lot. For a team that lacks speed compared to most, playing a lot of stretch passes that either get picked off or end up as an icing. Isn't too smart. In game adjustments and trust of players in Willie does not. The Sedin's are how old and playing 20 minutes a night. When you need them the most in the 3rd period if your down a goal. They are tired. Roll 4 lines for the first two periods. 7 minutes a night from your "energy players" .

Our D has sucked since 2012 not just this year with the young guys. The style and the core needs to be changed , the sooner the better. Does it matter if we finish bottom 5 this year or in two years from now when the Sedins are gone?

We have OJ and Boeser in the system just like Oilers have Klefboom and Draisitl playing now . In five years they will all be representing their NHL clubs.

If Toronto and Edmonton move up to the next level that means they will be drafting 15 th or so while Canucks still are drafting top 10.

They went through it for a decade I guess now it is our turn. I would still rather watch Stecher over Tanev any day of the week (mistakes included)

Looking back, I wish we would have just franking tanked years ago.

Mind you, the Leafs had 99 problems, so there's no guarantee we would have improved.

But for franks sakes, we wandered around in the desert of mediocrity since Sundin left.

There may be honour in finishing 9th, but it just franks you for years to come.

And I also think it's a big reason why there has been no Stanley Cup parade in Canada for 23 years.

isn't this counter productive to the team moving ahead? They clearly need to be blown up. They have nothing in the system, no young players to be excited about, vets that you either can't trade (Sedins) or ones you can trade but are worthless (Miller).
