All reports from management indicate they think Guentzel is a guy that once he's up they can't send back down. So far his performance says that's true. Sheary is locking down chemistry with Sid (though I think his size and style will make him a little injury proned). Rust can't clear waivers. I'd bet on Wilson being sent down or kuhanakl flipped for a pick. What's his market value? I'd have him on the market right now for a 2nd round pick. I think a 3rd round pick would be pretty easy. 2nd round seems to produce legit contributors per year and a lot of nothing. Seems a little high, but a team would be getting a legit NHL player. I think a 3rd is feasible if we are forced to move him. Rust I assume has higher mkt value.

I don't see the Pens parting with Kuhnhackl. Sullivan seems to really like him. There's no reason to part with cheap depth players because eventually somebody will get hurt....probably multiple players. That's really the bottom line... injuries always seem to make these "good problems" moot.

Anyone else and I would think that it was fluke. But with Sid it's not.

As if any of those "fancy" stats means jack squat to me.

It's pretty obvious to anyone with eyes that Pouliot is an awful mistake waiting to happen, no matter what his shot attempt +/- says.

That's why a Stanley Cup winning coaching staff doesn't play him.

You also think Brandon Sutter is a good hockey player, so there's that...

They may have just wanted guentzel to watch a game from the press box for his development. I know they like doing that with young defenseman. After playing 4 games let him watch a game with a coach.

Yes and since he's young and have never played hockey at this high level. last season he played a total of 56 games (35 NCAA, 11 AHL + 10 play-off). this season he's already played 21 games (same as the total he played in ahl last season) but now it's at a much higher level so he could need some rest to not work him too hard. and also as you said they may want him to get some perspective on his own game and also see how it is done at this level

Madmike I'd send Wilson back to WBS (he's been inconsistent) and Probably entertain a Fehr trade for a pick but I'm not sure about that. Guentzel Can play C and wing so that's a plus.

Kuhnhackl is a good 4th liner and Young. Let him develop game In and game out.

To my eyes Maatta started looking better the past 6 or 7 games. He was making nice little smart plays and looked a step faster. He also had a number of offense opportunities too. If he only ends up a top 4 guy the rest of Penguins tenure I could live with that. He's not being paid more than 5 mill a year for some time and top 4's are hard to acquire.

Kuni back in with Malkin rust... which means guen could either sit again or play 3/4th line mins

I think Guen should stay top 6, as much as I give sheary sh!t he is playing good hockey with Sid... so I don't think he should be taken out

Looks like Guentzal is going to be healthy scratch again...

I'd like to see

Sheary Sid Horn
Guen Geno Rust
Kuni Bonino Hags
Wilson Cullen Kuhn
Fehr

Edit:
