I would be shocked if both are back without a long playoff run this year. Cannot see Ledecky wanting to keep Wang's guys. I really have to think he would not want the firestorm of both coming back off of another 1st or 2nd round exit. - ses111
Really, because he wasn't saying a (frank)ing word prior to 3 games ago. Now it's all lollipops, unicorns and rainbows. I hope they'll both be gone but this is the Isles. So I'm not expecting it. |

The offseason is a whole other animal though and especially if the team misses the playoffs or are out in the 1st or 2nd round. You know I would have gotten rid of both earlier this year, but it's easy for them to remain quite now while the team in not out of it yet. |

i think so. we'll see. i am prepared to transition from no confidence to careful optimism if they can win handily on sunday.
one thing i have noticed is that the passing has been less sloppy and their positioning is much better than it had been all season. it is very possible they're turning the corner here. and it's not like every other team in the east is some kinda world beating collection of superstars like the old soviet teams. we're talking about teams like the flyers, blue jackets, and disney's the lion king...er i mean panthers |

Their play has definitely picked up. It seems that they're supporting the D-men on break-out passes, crisper, cleaner passes and the D-zone play has cleaned up. They're playing more in unison than just every-man-for-himself, chase the puck around hockey. |

Isles have too many d and goalies now. Hopefully a trade is easier now that the Isles won 3 in a row. Trades being easier seem a thing of the past now. |

I think this is the biggest difference IHM.
If you can get puck out of you zone and not run around like a bunch of keystone cops everything else will fall into place imho. |

How pissed would you be if you were JF Berube? this dope is literally wasting a full year of his career b/c of Snow. If anyone did this to Snow when He was a player He would have gone bat sht. |

You know he would have. But that's him giving all of us the finger and saying "Go (frank) yourselves, I'll do what I want." |

Ladd was noticeable the last 2 games if he can get his poop together along with chimera the isles might be ok |

what they've stopped doing is blindly throwing the puck backwards in their own zone as soon as the forecheck gets near them.
defensively, the third period against the caps was the best they've been this season.
sadly, winning 3 straight games has resulted in them passing absolutely no one in the east.
too big a hole to climb out of for this year.

Maybe but the team as a whole looks better and they are forechecking and pressuring teams look how many turnovers they created at the blue line |
