Ut oh, team is waking up & believing in Crappy system....

They're all talented hockey players. Isles def got all the puck luck the gods could sprinkle down on them tonight. My beer league team sometimes puts up 9-10 goals in one game, then 2-3 the next. Same lineup. Go figure.

Easy Ses, one good pass isn't playing well, wait for Ladd you right sorry
- nyisles7

You do not see Ladd and Chimera being key to this entire operation? You think KO and Frans can lead the Isles to back to back wins over Pitt and the Caps?

Nelson and Bailey are carrying him. JT has two top wingers now.

Only Tom Cruise can stop Chimera.

I was looking at some numbers. The Islanders have scored 3 or more goals in only 9 of their 23 games. 2 of those games they lost.

Kyle Okposo looks great on the Sabres power play with Eichel. He's a nice addition. Thanks.

Gutsy win last night, coming on the heels of a character-testing win against PIT. I wasn't overly impressed they beat Calgary, but these last two games were needed wins against divisional, conference opponents. It was nice to see goaltending make a difference for a change.

Here comes a glass of Kool-Aid: there is nobody between the Isles and the first wild card spot that the Isles cannot pass over the course of the season. There is still 4 1/2 months left. If the Isles win their divisional and conference games, they can get into the playoffs again. There are a lot of decent, but not great teams in the Eastern Conference.

And if anyone is worried that the Isles getting into the playoffs keeps Snow/Cappy around longer, I wouldn't necessarily say that. The only way those two keep their jobs beyond this season is if this team advances beyond the second round this year. Ownership (hopefully) is not going to settle for mediocrity, which merely making the playoffs and getting bounced in round 1 or 2 every year is. Snow and Cappy's biggest failure has been getting this team over the hump from being a respectable, competitive team to a true contender.

Maybe so, but can KO do push-ups with chains on? I'm guessing no. Only Bailey can do that!

Gotta love how they go 20 games playing awful, nothing's said, no changes, win three games in a row and they send this out

The great Lou Brown in Major League II once said "OK, we won a game yesterday. If we win today, it's called 'two in a row'. And if we win again tomorrow, it's called a "winning streak'... It has happened before!"

Need to give so many to busting out that movie reference

You keep drinking the Kool-Aid Jethro. They went from respectable & competitive to a dumpster fire. Now after these 2 wins (yeah 3 with Calg.) they're knocking on the back door of 'please don't laugh at me too much.' I'll definitely give them props, they played well the last 2 nights. Maybe the Caps took the night off, overlooking them. The PP still looks like a steaming pile, but they played better. I'll still watch, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Somehow I just get the feeling that come April they'll back their way into the playoffs like they usually do and get aced in the first round again.

Did that really come from ownership, or are you just yanking Bailey's chain? There's no way they came out and said that.

Holy Christ. What was funny was the lone supporter that said they would be there on Sunday.
This just seals the deal for me that this ownership group is just like the rest. All talk, no action. He didn't look so 'irate' in the picture. How many times have I said I don't want to hear a word from ownership, I want to see action? This is why. All Ledecky has done is give us lip service. Done.

We have to give them a chance, but so far, I agree it hasn't been the best start for them. There's no point in even saying anything at this point it's just going to annoy people. And it doesn't look good to wait til winning a couple games to say something.

For me it's akin to Snow saying he'd do whatever he wanted a few weeks ago. Specifically with the 3 goalie thing. It's a big old fvck you to us.
