He'll be demanding a trade here pretty quick so he can shake them off his tail. Maybe he should go to Vancouver. No one will know he's there.

I thought he said he left because of the commute to Brooklyn and trouble getting his family to the games

......and his gambling debts.....
he's a fair weather player. Talented but from another, different kind of country club.
The Isles have a different kind of CC.
Glad he moved on.

Interesting read but I would rather someone study the Exit the defensive zone study. Our team has to lead the league in turnovers in our own end. We constantly fail to get it out of the zone. When we do clear the zone what percentage of those clears end up in the other end of the ice, and not immediately back in our own zone.

When the forwards are playing high, up around the red line, it's typically a dump and change situation. At that point they've already spent a good 45-60 seconds chasing the puck around their own zone. When they played like they did against Pitt & Wash., they mostly carried in. if they did dump it, they were in the corners with pressure. Imagine that, if you close the gap and play positional hockey, you end up with chances in the offensive zone. When you don't it creates turnovers that lead to goals against. Now I'm no rocket scientist and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, but it seems to me you might want to close that gap and get the forwards more around the face-off circles in your own zone.

I would love to see that as well nite, In my mind their defensive zone play dictates there woes in every zone.
Not only for the isles but any team, if you can't exit you zone cleanly your
phucked !

My contract states that I'm not allowed to answer that question. At least not during the season.
