I don't get the love affair with craft beers. Can you tell me what makes a craft beer better than the hundreds of other beers available? That's a serious question, I'm not giving you poop.
- JimmyP

For me just different flavors and allows the Brewers creativity instead of the generic brews.

Greenport Harbor Brewery is a great example. If you have a chance take a ride out there, if you live on the Island in the Spring through Fall you'll have a blast tasting the different beers they have. Some you'll love some you'll hate and some of course will be ok, but well worth a visit. Typically they have a live local band playing on the weekends.
They make one of my autumn favorites called Leaf Pile.

Ever been JS?

I started going to Greenport Harbor Brewery when they operated out of the old Greenport Fire House, before they fixed up the upstairs. We just stood around outdoors, trying the different beers. However, I haven't been there since they moved to the Main Road in Peconic. Lately, I've been drinking more Riverhead beers.... Long Ireland, Crooked Ladder, and Twin Forks.

Made in smaller batches from better ingredients and taste more like the intended recipes. Also more alcohol in it and made from small business owners that actually love what they do. It's like going for a sandwich at subway or your local deli
- Dan Petriw

I've been turned off to the craft beer thing because it seemed too pretentious. This explanation makes sense to me, even if I don't fully agree. I like the idea of supporting local small businesses. I love the idea of more alcohol!

Three things on grabner

AV is using him correctly

He is healthy

Grabner is playing like he did rookie year. Scoring a ton of ugly goals because he is working his butt off, driving the net and actually stopping there. How many fly bys of the crease did he do for us

- Dan Petriw

I think Cappy and Garth have done a lousy job in developing players, but what happened with Grabner was not all them. I think health played a factor in Grabner not keeping up his good play with the Isles. Grabner seemed to get lazy as well.

Lee majors.

This line with Lee could be even better than the line with Martin.

Isles need to send tape of Callahan attacking De haan after the drouin hit and this Hamonic fight and ask for clarification on why one is an instigator penalty and the other one isn't...

Nielsen made a nice pass on that goal. Oh wait, he's not on the Isles any more....

I never saw Frans play that rough against a star player when he was on the Isles. Might have been the first check I saw Frans throw.
