Let me assure you, no Oilers fan believes that Larsson was the one and only target. Beyond that evidence that they pursued Jones and Hamonic last year, there are surely countless other Dmen they coveted and pursued. They more than likely only said it to grind the gears of Isles fans who felt like they'd missed out on Hall for Hamonic.

I am. I realize that Winnipeg is hosting this game, but I hope their capacity crowd is still enjoying it. As long as both teams have fun, and the attendee's are entertained, that's all that matters to me. God bless.

I'm gonna say something I may get some backlash on, but I've really grown to dislike Nuge's game. It's likely a triggered by watching guys like Draisaitl and McDavid growing the way they are.

I like that he usually commits to defense, but he lacks any dynamic offense, is still prone to glaring defensive miscues, isn't improving at faceoffs despite this being his 6th season and- what prompted me to comment on this- he's easy to knock off the puck. For someone lauded and often used as a two-way and the future of our shutdown line, I can't accept most of those things. Either he needs to find his dynamic offense again or I can't see his future on this team- especially not with his salary as high as it is. We have to find a guy that'll cost less (like Backlund or Eakin) for that 3C role.

I like Nuge but ya 6 mill for a 3rd line center is a lot. He's bound to turn it around. He's hit a bunch of posts. He's been playing with underperforming wingers all year too.
