But he's no different than the other guys that we're out there.
Got a modicum of skill and can help in short stints. But overall, not worth it. Especially if you already have some depth like the oilers.

Just letting people know. I dont want him. Did you read ON? Hendo is hating on Russell pretty good. Ive liked his game and thought he was helping, stats say other wise. Supposedly they want to offer him 4mx4yrs. Speculation...

Excited for the Leafs/Canucks game. Should be a good one. Watch it will be lame. Hoping Kadri gets elbowed to the head.

He was pretty awful in a few games recently. But overall a stabilizing force on the 2nd pairing.
Especially with little to no alternatives.
I've watched this oiler team struggle for a long time. And He's been more good than bad for sure . Cause I know bad. In his case and the reality of the situation, one has to look past fancies.


Either way, 4X4 is total madness. There's no way they do that.
That's a fireable offence.

We see where nurse is at near the end of the season and reassess. (Benning, reinhart too) we wait and see if Davidson gets claimed too.

If everything works in russels favour, I consider offering same dollars and term. Maybe an extra year if he has a ton of suitors and we don't think we have many options.

Most people hate the stat but he plus 8, third on the team. Doesnt that mean he is on the ice for more goals than against????? If they sign him, that is another player to protect come expansion. Means one of Maroon Davidson Russell likely to go. Davidson seems injury prone but has been good when playing. Maroon is a steal and like his game when playing hard and crashing the net. Tough choice of who id rather see go out of the three. Most likely Russell for me since he will be 30 next year.

Good point. He isnt ready. It did wonders for Leon going down for awhile. Is there better options then Teddy? He has two points in twelve games If not him i would be looking for someone.

Watching the bruins/Sabres game, think il go in the other room and watch the paint dry. Probably more exciting

I don't think wed have to protect him unless he signs a no trade . And if pc even considered that, I'd be leading the lynch mob.

Even If we don't protect him (which we wouldn't) he wouldn't get grabbed at that aforementioned insane contract (4x4)


Between him, maroon and Davidson- he's the easy choice for me.


As I said- I wait to end of the year, reassess a few things, and maybe offer him
