No it was a (frank)ing ugly scene. I thought about going in for stitches but didn't want to explain my injury to the doctor. Bandages and duct tape did the trick.

I sliced into my finger last year while trimming the fat off a brisket. Gave my knife a few swipes on the steel (always keep my knives sharp) and started trimming away. Knife went clean through the fat and into my finger. Good thing the bone was there to stop it or it would've gone all the way through. Still have some nerve damage there. Told the wife to grab me a bandage while I was standing at the kitchen sink. She comes out with like a wart size Band-Aid. I said "don't think that's going to do it, honey". Then lifted my hand so she could see the blood pouring out of it.

Hard to disagree with you. I used to be really big into baseball until the '94 strike. Since then, I may have watched 5 complete games. Including playoffs. The only ones that suffer are the fans.
