On a side note re: favorite rock bands from the last thread, if you've never seen them, treat yourself and go see the Trans Siberian Orchestra. I saw them at the Wells Fargo Center a few years ago - took the kids. It was amazing. The Carol of the Bells always brings the house down. Check it out. Enjoy

the hard part is finding someone to make a trade with most people don't respond
who knows maybe streit will be traded to a better team soon
i might just say (frank) it and yolo the trade it really doesn't effect me negatively unless hedman turns into orr the rest of the season - 2Real
yeah i know how it goes
at this point in the season i wouldnt worry about a few extra points left on your bench...could be useful if someone goes down |

FWIW, I sat in section 211 row 15 (top row) for 5 years. Love the seats, because you can stand the whole time if you want and no one cares, and there isn't really a bad seat in the building. I'd check around that area. - jmatchett383
Thanks for the tip. I'll check it out! |

There are no real obstructions to viewing the play other than the rink itself.
If you are eating in Philly for the first time, by all means eat what you want, there's a ton of great restaurants in the city. Do yourself a favour though and dine out your big meal in a Philly Italian restaurant. There's no lack of great ones as even the smaller ones off the beaten path have tremendous food and atmosphere.
I'll leave the bar hopping to someone a little more in tune with what's going on in the city. - mayorofangrytown
Thanks for your help! Love me some Italian!

that's the thing if someone goes down my bench right now if i have the trade would be like eichel, Marhessault/Nash, whomever i pick up to fill up that empty slot
if my starters get injured i could move someone easily to those forward slots Voracek is LW/RW, Marchessault is C/LW Nash can play LW/RW as well
I just dropped Sharp so i could pick him back up for LW/RW too
btw i just dropped lehner for smith so i just make my goaltending much more solid as well
(frank) it i'll do the trade it made seem like i'm giving up a lot but in practice most of those players will still be on the bench i seriously doubt i'll have 3 injuries to centers that would make me miss barkov |

I'm 29 and my old man is near 60.
Definitely interested in the history aspect. We like good beer, good food and bars with some history and character. |

enjoy it but I have to warn you it's a toss away beer from when I was a kid. It's like PBRs. No one was buying them and a case was like 14 bucks and then it started trending in hipster bars and the glorification began. I like both of them but they're nothing to look forward to.
If you happen into a bar that sells Victory Beer and you can opt for the Storm King wade right the hell in.
Lot's of quality beers in the area. |

Hammerby offered up Monks Cafe and I have to say it was a great choice.
Keep Standard Tap in mind. I've been there a few times and the food is great and beer selection never fails me. |

As someone else already said, Yuengling is a pretty poopty lager. Yards, Flying Fish, Sly Fox, and Victory are examples of local breweries with good options.
It's probably tinkered with year to year, but I had the Sly Fox Christmas Ale on tap somewhere last winter and it was fantastic. |

Haha I suppose. I was in Toronto when I was 20 and had Alexander Keith's IPA at multiple places since it seemed like the local Ale that was just everywhere. I liked it at the time being 20, but I'm curious now that I'm 29 if its any good haha. |

Like if I'm strolling around and stumble into a bar with Ballantine on tap. I know what it is and how long it's been around but that's going to be my staple for the evening.
Yeungling isn't that anymore, but it used to be. |

All star captain voting has started. We should get together and fill the voting box for Simmer! - dragonoffrost
Regardless of how anyone feels about the All-Star Game, the possibility of a player going to his first always has to be a great feeling for the player himself. I believe it takes place in LA this year, so the stars seem to be aligning for Simmonds this year. |

In my 20's there were only three places we wanted to go for beers (girls were a separate thing)...
Monks, Dirty Franks and Bob & Barbaras (speaking of PBRs from earlier). |
