I wonder when Chara was 6'3" 225. 6th grade?
- PLindbergh31

Chara was actually 5'10" 160 when he was drafted....that is why he fell so far

Yeah, it was, but it doesn't constitute the absolute meltdown that ensued.

I rescind my earlier comment.

His response was not nearly as Vesuvian as it should have been.

The 1996 1st round was terrible. Zubrus has the 2nd most career points of any player taken. Briere is 1st.

Your team is down by one, final minutes of the game and you're cycling the puck well getting quality chances and you make what seems like you an innocent play to get the puck. You get a penalty which pretty much seals the deal for a loss. I get why he's angry. But he hooked the player and got caught. Was it a little excessive on Shaw's end? Yes. But he's not exactly the quiet type of guy.

Even older than that. It's July 2014, right after Sanheim was drafted.

Nice, I knew it was either summer 2015 or 14. Figured I'd go on the safe end

I am at least encouraged by the continued scratching of Nick Schultz. It's a new NHL and this team going forward needs to figure it out without his services.

As far as Hexy building an AHL team. Kudos I suppose. But if any GM wanted to make it a priority they can get it done. Hexy just signed a bunch of career AHL stars to push this team into the playoffs. He made it a priority and it's working but its largely a team of hired guns making the biggest contributions.

- Just5

if any GM could do it why are there a lot of bad teams? I don't agree with that and there are legit prospects on that team. More than in the recent past.
