Who is standing to the right of Morin?
- MJL

Left to right I think it's

Hagg, Ghost, Sanheim, Morin.

sanheim looks like he weights 148 lbs in that pic
- Marc D

Answered my question. I though the same thing. What a tiny frame. Needs to hit the weights.

The good news is that pic is about a year and a half old, so hopefully he has a workout regimen now.

He was in the 170s when they drafted him, reached the 200 lb mark this past summer with a workout regiment

I agree, it's a bad hit, a penalty, and worthy of whatever punishment beyond that he gets. Slew foots are extremely dangerous, and not sure how that was missed.
- MJL

I agree. I've had a slew foot happen to me in high school. Thank god I was wearing a helmet. I honestly believe I'd be dead if I wasn't.

I think we are seeing an influx of new referees/officials just like we are seeing an influx of new superstars. Officiating is horrendous now, but it will get better.

I've been an official for almost 20 years. Everybody wants the best officials at every game. Not only is this not possible, it doesn't leave room for the new officials to gain much needed experience. The best available officials will work the playoffs, but the regular season is going to have some bumps in the road.

did you see his fight with the stick rack the other night after getting sent to the locker room?
- hammarby31

It's at the end of that clip.

Agreed. A slew foot should be an automatic 5 minute major, to me. Short of targeting a player's knees/head, the most dangerous play in hockey.

We need more officials like Paul Stewart. Guys who always make the right call and are never biased, except for when they are.

Even older than that. It's July 2014, right after Sanheim was drafted.

I'm really looking forward to a great discussion today about 80's junkies (bands) out on a cash tour...Ducking ponderous!

Keep it to Hockey. Maybe not so much whining about who we don't have or didn't sign or that Mason or Blah blah blah sucks because the moon was waxing and it is a cloudy day!

Let's try to talk about solutions...Like how can we hit the net more.
How about some different tactics on the PP or PK.

But please for the love of Mike; I can give a F about washed up old junkies from the 80's on a cash grab that you are going to see!

I am at least encouraged by the continued scratching of Nick Schultz. It's a new NHL and this team going forward needs to figure it out without his services.

As far as Hexy building an AHL team. Kudos I suppose. But if any GM wanted to make it a priority they can get it done. Hexy just signed a bunch of career AHL stars to push this team into the playoffs. He made it a priority and it's working but its largely a team of hired guns making the biggest contributions.

That happened in the playoffs last year (the homophobic slur incident). Pretty much a carbon copy. Then he got suspended in the preseason (a.k.a. a vacation), then somehow got nothing for slew-footing a guy at the end of a game.
