I don't hate him, I just want Draisaitl on RW and Soderberg would make a good 3C on the Oil. The + would hopefully be a player capable of playing 3rd line.

Thats sort of the issue with Soderberg right now too. Grigo is best as a 3C, but Soderberg is getting pushed out of that role and put into a top 6 wing role...which he isnt really comfortable doing under Bednar.

He needs to be moved back to a 3C role.

Thats the nice thing about Draisaitl, he seems to thrive as a RW. That Soderberg thrives as 3C has me even more intrigued.

Hes a detail oriented player, that wants to role in his defined role based on the system he is in. Run and gun is not his style.

Soderberg and a 2nd? Honestly not sure what Ebs value is at this time

Eberle is on pace for his usual 60ish points. Soderberg and a 2nd might be a little light, depends on Soderberg's contract.

Who says no?

COL: Iginla - NJ 3rd round pick (former Av's Pick)

Car: Ryan Murphy/Eddie Lack/4th Rd Pick - Col: Varlomov (Give Car 1/2 a season to figure out if they want Varly long term / expose him or Cam Ward).

Col: Landy/Barrie/1st Ott: Karlsson (OK poking the bear on this one, but given the Avs Cap situation, they can afford the $10M for Karlsson in 4 years)

Nope. Already trading Soderberg, Iginla and a 2nd for Eberle. See above.

Also Karlsson is not going anywhere, especially when the Sens are rolling out the wins like they have been. And if he were to be traded then I am quite sure they would ask for MacKinnon +.

At least we know that there's 0% chance Iginla will be on the team next year. Hopefully we will be able to get scrap metal at some point for him this season. Soderberg is clearly not worth the dollars, Sakic was in a hurry shell out the big bucks for ROR's replacement. I hope he's a casualty of the expansion draft. I'm starting to agree with you on Beauchemin, his play has rapidly declined from last year and if there's a way to get out of that contract I'd probably go that route. (aside from a buyout) Comeau could be a deadline rental to a contender. Martinsen has been very inconsistent and Mcleod is only good for a fight to give the rest of the team an energy spark. Aside from game 1, Colborne has done absolutely nothing and I wonder if that's because who he's playing with? I thought this guy would come over and score 20 goals for us. Mitchell has been playing a little better recently but he's not producing offensively and he's making more than Grigs at 1.8 Mil. Not good enough. Grigs has a lot of talent but consistency is an issue. He's not making much money and the Avs will probably keep him around. Barrie has been a disaster on D. Yes he makes flashy spinoramas but he's mostly a liability in his own zone. Zads has been better but still has a ways to go. I like Wiercioch but he's also a work in progress. Tuytin is "meh". Other than last night, Picks has been pretty solid and I'd just alternate games between him and Varly just like San Jose did with Nabokov and Toskala over a decade ago.

Soderberg is playing a line too high. He was great as a third line center in Boston and that is where he should be playing in CO. Duchene should be playing center as well because he has more open ice to skate in at center and can be more creative. Mitchell should never be elevated above the 4th line and Colborne needs to be given a chance to settle in next to Soderberg on the 3rd. The line combos have been kind of suspect which is on the coach. But even with Landy back it's hard seeing this team making much of a jump because of the shoddy D, which falls on Sakic. Problem is without internal development they will be forced to trade a star player if they want to get a top D man. It's a lose, lose for the team and it's a shame because they are a lot of fun to watch!

Remember when I said tank it. And Grigorenko can go play in the KHL. Kids a bust.
Besides the core, none of the other players should be back.

I don't think he's a bust yet, just needs to be more consistent. As far as the "core", they do need to make some changes.

Keep Mack, Dutch, Ranty, EJ. Trade Barrie and I'd take calls and see what we can get for Landeskog.

Jesus christ, what is wrong with some of you people. Avs have issues bc of their depth. moving their top end talent for a collection of lesser parts or someone elses unwanted player is not going to help out the Avs.

The issue is in the depth and poor goaltending, not the talented players.

This team...im done with them.

Its frustrating. Below average to under achieving goaltending. And Bednar is right, there are way too many passengers on this team, which is not his fault. The roster wasnt built for him. It was built for Patrick Roy and his lack of hockey system, these are his guys that arent doing crap.

Comeau, Soderberg, Colborne, Iggy, Mitchell, even that bum McLeod. All of them just are ghosts in the bottom 6. You arent going to win if your depth is usless and that expensive. Rene Bourque is excelling somehow.....RENE BOURQUE for crips sake. How can he be this teams leaguing goal scorer and all those big body fwds cant even sniff the net

So promising going into thi season but the fact that the roster if fill with so much under achieving garbage. There is no way out of it this season.

Burn down the depth, and do it right

- DDM-Coga

When your leading scorer is a pto you know there's problems.
Proposal, Iginla barrie for Hamilton Wideman,
Soderberg + pick for Eberle like u saying,? Ehh?
