Anyone else seen Rasmussen play yet?
Guy is a beast! Would love for him to be drafted-local kid too

I watched a couple of back to back games in Victoria earlier this year and while he had a a couple of goals and pts in the two games I thought he has some red flags.

He is big and spends a bunch of time in front of the net but didn't think he created offense or was aggressive physically.

I would love to have him but I think there is many other forwards that I take before him.

Hmm I was at the 5-1 game too! I thought his one pass out of the corner/behind the net for the goal was pretty elite. Mind you, i was there to see how good he was so I may be biased. That was also the game where Tri-city dominated, maybe he wasnt so good in the other game

I had forgotten about that play and again it was only two games but I expected him to be more involved I guess. I was pretty pumped up on him earlier this year and went to the game to see him as well but was a bit let down.

Casey Mittelstadt is the guy I've been paying attention to recently.

I tend to agree. We desperately need a young prospect that drives offense...another Bo

Ya or better and that isn't a criticism of Bo.

Our year would need to get much better to draft rasmussan. Where we are likely to draft this year there will be a better center unless he drastically raises his stock.

McKeens has him 3rd and Middlestadt 6th, right now were in 5th... seems like exactly the type we should be talking about

For sure...but Bo at 1st and 2nd line centre would be pretty great as well. Preferably we can find somebody that is well rounded like Bo, drives play similarly but is a better playmaker and has slightly better vision. Not to knock Bo as his development has exceeded all expectations

He should certainly be in the discussion. Going to be fun prospect watching as there should be more volatility in rankings compared to recent drafts

Why so? Isn't more likely that we shed the aging defender and protect the younger one that is progressing?

You honestly think they'll expose Edler instead of Sbisa?

What could happen with line up past the 2017 trade deadline. JV finds his game like last season and comes back to show it with skilled players on 3rd line.

I would like to see JB pressure Edler & Miller into trade for prospects. Hanson, Bur and DD for draft picks to contenders. Tanev lotto pick and prospect.

Line up after 2017 TDL..........................................Possible for 2017 season opener

Sedins & Sutter/Rodin.
Baer & Bo & LE.
Rodin/ Granlund/Sutter & JV.
Skille & Guance & LaBate. (Guance taken by Vegas)..........BB & 2017 1st round pick

Sbisa Stecher...............................................................Hutton & Stecher
Hutton & Guddy............................................................Sbisa & Tree
Tree & PL. (PL or Biega min for Vegas)............................ OJ & Guddy

Marky
Garteig.

Extra. Pedan, Subban & Biega

Use above for forward and D last minute injury/illness replacement and or rotate in for PL.

If injuries plug in Megan, Chaput etc. Keep Demko playing more games in Utica with Vet Bauchman. Rodin breaks in on third line. Moves up to the new 3 crown line so Sutter gets more defensive center assignments. Can switch back and forth.

I don't see it happening. He is considered essential to the teams success. If we are down in the basement at the TDL then maybe it could happen, but that might be wishful thinking.

i would love to see this much tear down, but I don't see it. burrows has no value. Maybe edler and Hansen, Tanev does for sure but I don't think they want to trade him.

? I think based on what I've seen that we'll be a bottom 10 team at the end of the year but I don't think Edler gets traded unless we're around the bottom 2 or 3 at TDL

In honesty I wouldn't mind seeing Edler moved but I'd rather the team do well, I cheer for them to win as many games as possible.

Like in my earlier postings it depends on play of young D now. Why it's exciting time for that and other scenarios. Like Burr gaining value for contender by rejuvenated play with Bo. Another good thing about JV being in Utica and Rodin and Hansen injured may be Burr's opportunity to play offensive role. He's also been solid defensively and on PK.

I think if they do well or at least D performance is good that can happen. Not measurement of wins necessarily. But keep goals down. Affordability to move Edler grows. But it will be limited to what he wants.

I think from what we've seen so far this season we can survive without Edler Tanev and even Hansen in the lineup. They really don't make us that much of a better team when healthy. Hansen has the most impact being out but we should still be looking to get what we can for him.

Agree the injuries show that. If they don't trade them now then they lose out on getting anything later for rebuild. Tree, Stecher and Rodin replaces above and keeps the team still trying to win while rebuilding. When Sedins leave by 2018 new draft picks and prospects from these trades plus our own stock can compete for top six.

Trade Hansen, Tanev, Edler, Burrows and Miller at TDL and seriously start the rebuild.

I agree that we could afford to lose 1 or 2 of them and maybe not much would change, but do remember that we were snakebitten by horrible shooting % and puck luck among other things in the early parts of the year.

Yet now that the injuries have piled up, our point % looks about the same, I think at face value it looks like we can manage without them but it could also be in part that we underachieved early and are simply hitting our potential with our current team.
