Dont sign him. Get what you can for him, if you can.

Cut your losses.

That was a really good piece on marcus foligno
- gordong

Agreed
I think a lot had him penciled in on the 4th line next year
He's been playing consistently well now for long enough that he's looking like a top9 guy going forward
Potentially taking Kane's spot if Murray can deal him for a defenseman like McKenzie keeps suggesting
Or maybe we keep this 3rd line "checking unit" together
Doe we re-sign Gionta?
I think he's played pretty well
Or do we give Girgensons a shot in that role
Or move Kane down into that spot & bring up Nylander?

I'm talking next year with these roster moves

A lot of options for sure but I love having the size that Marcus brings, playing. The way He's been

I don't mind Gionta as a player but I want to go in a new direction with leadership after this year.

That dumbass cant clear the zone to save his life. Part of being a good leader is not sucking ass.

Lehner is going to get 4MM at least on his next contract, IMO.

He cant put his pads on without getting injured.

He does Buffalo no good if he cant play.

You guys are all wrong. No one needs to go more than Kane. Worst player I might have ever seen. And he's as bad or worse than advertised away from the rink.

I haven't been able to watch every game closely...
but I think they've both been just fine
And if we can get a legit partner for Risto,
Then I think Gorges could be one of the best 3rd pair defensemen in the league, and at least he really solid in that role

He's a 3rd line guy, too good for the 4th line, but not quite good enough to be on the 2nd line for any length of time.

Gionta gets a 1 year deal if he wants one at a deep discount.

If Girgensons isn't picked by Vegas he likely gets another 1 year deal at about the same money he's at now.

Depends on how Nylander does of course, but we will/do have a hole on the left side in the top 6 regardless.

He has one even strength goal lol that's the right move

carrier earned it

- GERBE!!!75PTS

And when they trade Kane for a D, Carrier is the power forward they are grooming to take his spot. Now don't read that as be as good in all facets of his game.

I defended Kane for a long time, but I agree with this. For his price tag, we can do much better.

For sure
I think it gives them the option to do something with Kane if they can get the right deal for him
NYI & Vancouver have both been mentioned,
and seem like desperate teams we can take advantage of

And if not,
You gotta think and playing with Eichel should help him start putting the puck in the net

He's shown the wheels and the ability/willingness to go to the corners. Would be interesting to compare his hands.

Yeah, a lot of people are overreacting at the moment. If it's a pulled groin/hammy they're not going to put him back out there tonight no matter what the score is. If it's more than that then we'll cross that bridge when we get there, but other than the 2 freak accidents(and being out of shape from the first was instrumental in the second) the last 2 years he's been healthy. Sure he missed a few games this year, but most people get the flu at least a few times in their life, so that's not really on him. And when a player is sick, even if they can play they're banned from coming in because they don't want to get anyone else sick.
