I'm hoping the Leafs target Ryan Miller, Troy Stecher, Daniel Sedin and Alex Burrows of the Canucks.
How about this PRI.CK?

I would love to draft a top 4 dman.....and we may have....wont know for a while though.
I just find, forwards are easier to replace than D...hence the cost. We need another quality D to help our current young D out.
If lou can do it without costing a roster player.....awesome! - Fakepartofme
I think your concept of positional demand/scarcity might be skewed by the Leafs. Top 6 C's are just as valuable as top 4 D.
Nashville had a ton of capable Ds, but no top line C, so they traded Seth Jones. |

I dont drink coffee so the analogy was lost on me.
Anyway, I dont want to trade Nylander....Id prefer to keep him.
I just know you have to give up quality to get quality.
I hope our young prospect D turn into what we hope.
But we have quite a bit of forward depth. some will be moved. Who? dunno. - Fakepartofme
Would rather they move guys like Bozak, Komarov or JVR before Nylander. |

Knock there socks off with a huge return for both Hamilton and Brodie.

I really need a translator...I don't think my previous post was very coherent. - mykokes
If it was about drafting D almost exclusively like the AA Jays did with pitching, then in this specific example, yes. I would not be upset if they took a D man with every pick this draft.

The Leafs are in a spot now where playoffs are possible, You sure that that should be given up.
1 above average defenseman will make the them a lot better. - bobbyisno1
I would much rather see a cup in 3 years than scrape into the playoffs this year. If the price is ok, Go for it, but don't overpay for a cough up artist like Shattenkirk, and especially don't give up a first rounder unless you are getting a real stud back. |

And a 1st?
That's craziness. - burn
Got to pay for timing too. Nobody ever thinks about that but I guarantee other GM place A LOT of creedance in timing....for good or for bad?!?!
Every GM knows that to perfectly round out the Leafs roster as a CUP team in a few years, we need a young Top 4 D NOW! It would be perfectly timed with our young forward core and new #1G.
To get that...if available NOW but honestly I don't really know if Hamilton is that good but if the powers that be think he is then.....
JVR and a 1st for Hamilton and a 2nd...which will be pretty high 2nd is the better deal.
KEEP NYLANDER!!! |

Old School, letting some of the rookies and vets that have consistency issues ride the pines - get some slivers in their ass, just like Montreal did with Lafleur.

Based on the 7.5 minutes he played for the team - yup, hot garbage. At least he didn't hurt the team further by bodychecking opponents though. |

If you really saw what I was trying to say, then you would know that I don't honestly believe Holland has the same value as a #15 overall. It was a cute coincidence that CGY gave up that position (their 1st 2015) for Dougie while that was the same spot Holland was drafted in.
Furthermore, it was a retread from a comment I made 2-3 pages back that fell through the cracks.
regardless, I know full well Pistol Pete will be lucky to fetch a bag of pucks |

It didn't fall though the cracks. I only commented because I saw you posted two different times claiming that. I'm not sure what Hollands value is. But with his cap hit and not being waiver exempt I also don't see us getting much for him. I thought you were full out serious though. And had already researched who Boston took with the pick and was ready to argue. Lol. |
