Didn't happen overnight though. Spent a fair amount of time in the AHL, and got cups of coffee at the NHL level. - mykokes
umm ok.
nothing ever does happen overnight.
He still wasnt ever a scrub.
He was an AHL all star his first pro year and was one of their top prospects. |

Holland saga is interesting. My sense..he absolutely wanted to go on Leafs trip west in hopes of playing. Seems like trade or waivers next. - Santo_44
pretty sure it's just his turn to be injured so that Leivo can officially sit in the press box as a scratched roster player. |

I get your point. I think Nylander has a much brighter future than anyone in the world named Dougie.
Besides, I would think Burke would value JVR plus some useless futures almost on par with Nylander. Burke's the type of guy who's ego and vanity is his weakness.
Bottom line is, I think it would be folly to force/rush any deal right now. - 1979AD
This is what we are hoping for.
Keep Nylander trade prospects and picks if possible. |

Fair enough - don't blame them one bit lol. The new Ocean Prime in the seaport is pretty damn good, but I'd stay with B&G
Oh, Neptune Oyster is good too
Try and get a damn trillium IPA if you can. Server in VERY few places. Like maybe 5, but the brewery is in the city. - RickJames77
Thanks. Just looking at their website - it looks pretty good!
It's funny - when I lived there (waaaaaay back in 2000), the North End was completely cut off from Quincy Market by the Big Dig construction. And while people would rave about North End being so cool because it was so Italian, that was never a big deal for a guy from Toronto. So I never really went there.
But since construction ended, I've probably spent more time in North End than I ever did while living there.
I may just check out Neptune, AJ! |

FA market seems thin again.
TJ oshie might be decent, but age/injuries are a concern. - Tumbleweed

They wouldnt dip into this off season....but maybe two down the road. when they are closer to only needing a piece here or there. |

Meh.
you can replace a winger.
We need top 4 d. That cost you top line forwards.
It is what it is. - Fakepartofme
Do you need a top line winger to score a top 4 D?
It's not just Hall got Larson but Larson got Hall too you now.

What's your relationship with Rielly that makes him so special you call him by his first name while the rest of the crew are last named called? - Scabeh
Captain Morgan sounds way better than Captain Rielly.
If you wanted a serious answer. |

Neither Kapanen or Brown are ever going to be 70pt players in this league. Nylander may very well be. How many of those forwards were there? - 1979AD
oh now, he's a potential 70 pt player.
oh ok.
like I say, if we can trade anything else for quality D and keep Nylander. Awesome.
If not. What can you do. |

Well he's on pace for 62pts a quarter through his 20 year old rookie season. I wouldn't think 70pts is an outlandish expectation through his prime, especially playing with Marner and/or Matthews in their primes.

We like B+G because when we first started going there, it was just a hole in the wall. Although that's pretty much what it still is...
We also are tempted to go back to the Butcher Shop across the street. Nothing wrong with lots of meat.
I'm really curious to go back to the Seaport - I don't think I've been there in about 16 years, so obviously I'm in for a huge shock.
But I've been egging on my friends to come to Boston for a long time, so I kinda feel like I need to show them a good time - which means it's less stressful to go with the tried and true, rather than try something new and risk disaster. - Atomic Wedgie
Totally understandable but if you see trillium you have to get it. According to this list it's the 11th best brewery https://untappd.com/brewery/top_rated
Also look out for NightShift, Treehouse, Lawson's Finest Liquids, Smuttynose, Aeronaut, Idle Hands, Evil Twin, Clown Shoes, and that's all I got off the top of my head. |

So...Dougie Hamilton cost the Flames:
First-round pick (No. 15) in the 2015 NHL Draft and the two second-round picks (Nos. 45 and 52).
I imagine the price hasn't changed? |

Right, so we trade them Peter Holland (#15 overall, 2009), SJS 2nd round pick and OTT 2nd round pick in 2017.

I'm hoping that's exactly what the Leafs focus on, if not this year but next.
Actually, Instead of Hamilton, I'm hoping that the Leafs target Rasmus Andersson and Oliver Kyllington from the Flames. |
