FA market seems thin again.

TJ oshie might be decent, but age/injuries are a concern.

- Tumbleweed

FA market is for adding that extra piece on a short term deal (basically the trade deadline without the cost of prospects/picks), nothing more.

Let all the other suckers try to build their teams this way.

Something better will likely come around. And to me, Nylander is already at least a 40 pt guy. 28 points in 42 gp is a great start to a career, especially at the age of 20.
- mykokes

Well who knows if something better comes along concerning D.
Lets hope so.
But there were over 45 forwards who scored 50 - 60 pts..so you could find a replacement.
Plus leaf fans hope Kaps and Brown turn into 40 - 60pt guys as well.
Not enough time on the leafs to share with all of them.

Still think you'd love the Brewer's Fork in my hometown which is about a mile from the garden.

Great beer and nice pizza and small great plates. Pretty laid back place. Could pop in before the game

- RickJames77

I would love it, but my best friend and his wife are real foodies, so they are going to want to eat at places a little more sofistimicated while we are there.

You know, usin' cutlery and stuff...

Dregs just wants to get a trade rumour right. (frank) the consequences.

Better plan - this, but with Ben Smith

Why not both?

Babcock usually brings his centres up as wingers first. Matthews is the exception, simply because he's a not the usual prospect. I think our d-pool is where our forward pool was when we drafted Nylander. Two drafts can change that.
- mykokes

No Nylander was a top end talent forward.
We dont have a top end talent D prospects.
We have some good D prospects.

Fair enough - don't blame them one bit lol. The new Ocean Prime in the seaport is pretty damn good, but I'd stay with B&G

Oh, Neptune Oyster is good too

Try and get a damn trillium IPA if you can. Server in VERY few places. Like maybe 5, but the brewery is in the city.

Neither Kapanen or Brown are ever going to be 70pt players in this league. Nylander may very well be. How many of those forwards were there?

Nonis is trying to keep him in the loop, but it's so hard from way down there on his knees.

Because then we'd be a player short after we've done it with Hunwick too

We like B+G because when we first started going there, it was just a hole in the wall. Although that's pretty much what it still is...

We also are tempted to go back to the Butcher Shop across the street. Nothing wrong with lots of meat.

I'm really curious to go back to the Seaport - I don't think I've been there in about 16 years, so obviously I'm in for a huge shock.

But I've been egging on my friends to come to Boston for a long time, so I kinda feel like I need to show them a good time - which means it's less stressful to go with the tried and true, rather than try something new and risk disaster.

Don't give up on him just yet.
- mykokes

I'm not.

At some point we'll need to give up something of quality to get quality back.

Holland saga is interesting. My sense..he absolutely wanted to go on Leafs trip west in hopes of playing. Seems like trade or waivers next.

And we should give them time to develop.

I don't think that 53 teams missed on a sure thing in Duncan Keith when he went 54th overall, but you look at his draft class and he's the best.

Leafs will eventually hit on a player like that and develop them properly. We just need patience.

How about twice....t.j. brodie.

Brett Kulak is right behind them.

- mykokes

Meh he was drafted late, but became one their top end prospects.

Didn't happen overnight though. Spent a fair amount of time in the AHL, and got cups of coffee at the NHL level.

Makes sense.

There's a rare big fish (chara hossa), but usually you're just taking on alot of risk.

I hope they keep him. Like I said right off the bat. Im hesitant to move Nylander, its still too early.
But the leafs need D.
Gotta give to get.
Id rather move Kaps or brown....but Im sure Nylander would be higher up on other teams wants.

And the Leafs have D prospects that people haven't even had a chance yet.
